When a beer reaches a milestone like this, a special batch is required. Brewed with even more cherries than the original that inspired it, this version celebrates 30 years of a Bell’s classic.

Drinking this beauty in July 2023 (aged 5 years), so smooth. Shelf life unlimited. Crazy a beer of this style is so quaffable, have to show restraint and not gulp it down.

Solid blackness, thin brown ring of foam.
In the nose: Rich and toasty, intense chocolate, with cherries just beneath.
In the mouth: Cherries and bigger and bolder on the palate, chocolate malt flavors hold down the fort. Massive malt mouthfeel. Fruity sweetness creeps on board. Might be 9%, but we don't feel it just yet.
I'm enjoying this. Happy Anniversary, Cherry Stout!

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip
A- Black with a small mocha head head.
S- Roasted malts, a touch of smoke, some cherries, chocolate.
T- Chocolate, cherries, roasted malts, a little smoky, some dark fruits.
M- Smooth, full body.
O- At about a year and half old it is still a tasty stout. Cherries might be a little faded, but still has a great balance.

Packaged 5/10/2018. Pours dark brown/black with minimal head. Cherry smell is lighter than anticipated given package description. Cherry flavor is more pronounced on the tongue. Mouth feel and taste where excellent overall. Would appreciate seeing this return as a seasonal and would purchase again if brought back. Appreciate this beer much more than Bell's Cherry Stout, which I have not had reason to revisit.

Package date 5/11/18. Dark brown color with a tan head. Pours like motor oil. Silky smooth mouthfeel. Beautiful balance between tart cherry and slightly sweet chocolate malt. I appreciate how the cherry doesn’t taste artificial or icky sweet. 9.0% ABV, but doesn’t taste boozy.

6/24/19 (Chicago): $13.99 plus tax 4 pack purchased 6/8/19 at Leo's liquors, bottled 5/11/18, poured into snifter. Pitch black pour, nice creamy tan head, lingers a long time before leaving light lacing. Strong roast malt and chocolate aroma. Didn't note the cherry. Excellent creamy rich roast malt and chocolate taste, cherry backs well. Somewhat sweet but very balanced. Rich, creamy mouth feel, very nice and smooth drinking! Overall outstanding offering, looking forward to the next anniversary!
