BOD 6/29/17. Clear golden pour. Outstanding head volume and retention, world class lacing.

The nose is very good. It provides a light lemon aspect that is airy over a subtly sweet malt base that has both bread and biscuit aspects.

Light body with a touch of oiliness to it. The carbonation / body balance is world class. Effervescence is noted in the nose several minutes post opening. The middle is a tingly burst of finely bubbled effervescence that trails off towards the finish. The finish forms the final effervescent release crescendo and is quite prickly.

The flavor profile is also very good. Intensity is world class, quite flavorful. Complexity is average - a bit of lemon over a sweet biscuit (mostly) base. Bitterness is surprisingly aggressive for the style and is herbal in nature but lacks real associated flavor. It's more of a bitterness for bitterness' sake approach rather than targeted such as with PU and Saaz. The finish is a bit crisp and fades with a light lemon sweet bitterness.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pilsner glass. Comes in a six-pack. Beer style is Czech pilsner, so ingredients include pilsner malt, Czech lager yeast, and the glorious Saaz hops. Slow-poured into glass for less carbonation on the taste and more depth on the foam head for aroma.

L - crystal clear light amber color; white fluffy foam; high amount of lacing

S - hay bales, fresh baked bread, lemon/grassy hop aroma; aromma intensity is low-medium

T - crisp clean water, bready taste, lemon, grassy bitterness; like a barley crop in your glass, very natural taste

F - light body, watery texture, crisp then dry finish

O - The label drew me to this beer, awesome label featuring an engraving of the Great Lakes. Not too mention this is the beer of my ancestral land of Bohemia, so my opinion is a bit biased. Excellent craft pilsner, must try for the pilsner fans.

Bottled date of 09/13/17

Appearance - Pours crystal clear and golden yellow in color with a white, finger width head. Fair retention before a mostly barren surface and a thin, broken ring around the edge of the glass. No lace save a small spot or two.

Smell - Hints of cereal grain and light bready sweetness with a faint whiff of grassy hops.

Taste - Follows the nose. Light grain with light grassy hops balancing it out. Hints of honey sweetness. Lingering, bittersweet finish.

Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with some bitey carbonation. Crisp, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish.

Overall - Good, solid pilsner overall, but nothing particularly special or noteworthy.

Decent Czech style pilsener. Had this one -finally, I feel I should have gotten this one years ago- out the in woods camping. Poured from bottle to gold Solo cup. Wheat-yellow in color with a collar of nice, white foam atop. Aromas of grain, white pepper, and herbal/floral hops with a lemony zip. Flavor of grain, honey, white bread, white pepper, clean lemon, floral hops. Still enjoying Stroh's Bohemian as my Czech style, but this one is very nice.

Pours to a straw yellow color with a thick and, foamy head. I sense crackers and grass, some sweet bread and a tojch if apple. Perfect beer for.enjoying while at the lake, pick one.

Pours a very pale yellow. Very mild flavor all around, but still a decent if uninspiring example of the style. If you are looking for a lower alcohol beer in a style accessible to boft craft beer afficianados and bud drinkers, you would be better served by Bells Third Coast.
