Notes:
Two of our favorite ingredients come together in the brewhouse; pungent American hops and delicious wheat malt. This Hazy IPA is double dry-hopped (a combination of Mosaic, Citra, Azacca, Amarillo and El Dorado hops) resulting in complex peach, stone fruit and tropical notes with a dry finish and balanced bitterness. A refined beer for those who love hops and for those who prefer wheat beers. Go ahead and make it Official.

Enjoyed from a 12 oz can. Aroma is very familiar for a hazy IPA, nothing really stands out, standard juice, maybe some melon. Mouthfeel is light, but the finish actually has a bit more of an alcoholic bite than the ABV suggests. This would be hard to session, but otherwise a nice, reliable offering from Bells.

Smell: kinda of fruity - pineapple maybe - bread-ish smell.
Look: really nice head, gold.
Feel: mouth feel is very good, typical of one of the key elements of the style.
Taste: This is (unfortunately) where this brew falls down for me. Not cohesive - at times I tasted soap.
Overall: eh. I bought this mix pack to get this beer. Bummer. I should have looked a little closer as this is a wheat based beer which I personally don’t care for.
***update**
In the light of a new day, and not being one to let beer just be. In the fridge.
I bumped my look score because I really do like the look of it in a glass. I can ignore the typical wheat based floaty floats. Protein.
I’m changing my mind on the taste. It’s just this side of Belgian Ale which, while not my jam, can be tasty at times.

Pours a hazy orange with a white head.
Smells of tropical fruit, mango, star fruit, with citrus and pine, floral and earthy notes.
Taste follows nose with buttery biscuit notes and an earthy dry finish.

From a 12oz can:
Appearance: Hazy/cloudy yellow, huge head.
Smell: Mild citrus.
Taste: Moderate citrus to start, low sweetness but not bitter either. Vaguely pithy/rind flavors. Bready undertone. Medium-light bodied.
Overall: Beer #2 from the Bell's mixed IPA pack. Another “fine”, decent, ok beer. Nothing particularly outstanding about it, but gives a hop fix without being too light or too heavy.

Poured from 12oz can into my Bell's tulip. Canned 3/21/22.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy foam atop and a nice lace on the glass. Seems legit!
Smell: nice herbal, orangey, and piney aroma with a lightly sweet malt backbone. Not bad at all!
Taste: sweet malt with a rather citrusy and slightly piney character. It's good, but a bit one-dimensional.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess of the style.
Overall: a decent enough IPA, though perhaps a bit unremarkable for a hazy.

I love Bell's. Two-hearted has been my favorite IPA since who knows when. But I can't get behind this one. Bought a 12 pack that was on clearance at Jewel (despite 1/24/22 canning date!) and I kind of regret it. Pedestrian beyond belief. Reminds me of my 2nd least favorite thing about Bell's: the restaurant/taproom. Feels like an afterthought.

In Laurel:
LOOK: Pours a very hazy lemonade like color with an attractive all white head that has both solid retention and side glass lace.
ATOMA: Juicy acerbic citrus aromas. Mild sourness, with some melon a little pine nuts along with some background bread malts.
TASTE: An easy to drink IPA, not one for a dedicated hop head. Hops are mild and there is a decent balance with the bread malts.
At first pour the carbonation and effervescent are robust.
This was an enjoyable beer from a solid craft brewery.
