Light Hearted is aromatic, balanced, and incredibly easy-drinking. This Lo-Cal IPA has only 110 calories, yet all the Heart. Centennial and Galaxy hops result in citrus and pine aromas, while a variety of specialty malts help give Light Hearted its body and flavor.

A fine beer in cool retro designed cans in the perfect format. Clear, one and half finger white head, good retention. Pine, citrus, bready malt, crisp resin all the way through, without any holes or gaps in the taste. Medium lighter bodied, full flavored, easy to drink, but plenty of hop resin to remind you that this is an IPA. In some ways, it drinks like a pale ale except the hops are a bit more forward and the body remains adequate.

I've had this bottle in the back of the beer fridge for a while and finally got to pulling it out. It pours a golden color with a light haze. There is a slim white head. The aroma is floral, with some pine-like hop scents underpinning the sense. The taste is balanced, with more of the hop flavors throughout. It is lighter than I'd like, but the overall impression is much better than expected for a lo-calorie beer. I'd have a few of these.

1/20/24 Poured from a 12 oz can.
Was hoping to like this one more than we did.....
Aroma...Bready malt. Slight metallic. Pine. Not overly memorable.
Taste... Fairly malty. Pine resin. Lemon rind. Drying at the end.
High carbonation.
Overall, decent, but if I'm concerned about calories or too much alcohol, I'd skip drinking a beer rather than choosing this brew.

L - golden with an off-white head that sticks around a bit, leaving behind some lacing and a thin cap
S - piney, resinous, bitter hops along with malt, floral notes, bread, caramel
T - follows the nose - piney, resinous hops up front and throughout intermixed well with bready malt, caramel, some cracker, and citrus
F - light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation
O - definitely one of the better light IPAs out there. Might be one of the best

Pours a golden straw with a finger of head that settles to a thin ring with a little lacing. Aroma of citrus with traces of pine. Taste follows nose. Refreshing.

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Golden color in appearance with around a finger's worth of foamy head, decent retention and lacing.
Aroma: soft pine, grapefruit peel, lemon, caramel, toast, cracker, grains, cereal, pineapple, and pepper.
Tastes essentially like the aroma, citrus notes and the grains, cracker, pepper, and cereal particularly , but not noticing the pine. Body is medium-light.

12 oz. can $2.49 - canned on 10/25/22
Look - murky, light golden, foamy white head - very little lacing
Smell - floral, fruity, pine
Taste - bready malt, herbal, citrus and floral hops
Feel - light body, medium carbonation, light pine hop bitter finish
Overall - When you're in Light IPA territory don't expect it to be on the same level of a regular IPA. With that being said, this brew has some good qualities, namely low ABV and calories. The flavor is just enough to get you through. I made it through while listening to Welcome To My Nightmare by Alice Cooper. You'll do the same if you know what's good for you.

12oz can, wine glass, canned 8/31/22.
Lightly hazed glowing gold with an impressive head for such a light beer.
Like it’s parent, the nose is focused on citrus. Grapefruit mostly. Maybe some Meyer lemon.
The flavors are very similar with an oat note.
It’s got a light body, but isn’t watery, with medium-high carbonation that gives it some bite. It’s refreshing.
The look and feel bring this above many of its low-cal peers.

From a tall can with a smudged date sampled on June 30, 2022.
The appearance is a slightly cloudy looking golden amber with a lingering head.
Aroma is simple barley grains, bread, citrus and grass. Perhaps melon in the background.
The mouthfeel is light and thin as to be expected with this style.
Sweet and grainy taste evolving into a citrus and grassy short bitter finish.
