Got on tap. Great head and color. Very inviting look. Nothing to exciting about smell. Well balanced flavors with a different bitter than an IPA. Overall I enjoyed and would try again.

Appearance: pours a deep and earthy orange color. A finger or just more of an off white head. Strong retention and a serious lacing left behind. Some haziness but not quite opaque.
Smell: strong crystal malt sweetness. Medium hop bite. Some citrus, pine and earth.
Taste: opens up with a slight crystal malt base that is quickly cut away by citrusy to piney hops. Some earthiness and additional toasty malts come by at the end.
Mouthfeel: crystal sweetness lingers a bit and mixes with some lingering bitterness. Light body and slight refreshing qualities.
Overall: a solid esb but doesn't quite pull all the way away from the crowd for me.
