On tap at Bell's.

A - A very dark, purplish colored beer. The addition of the raspberries gave this one a fun and rich color. Little bit of an off-white head with on there with a pink tinge.

S - Vinegar, vinous qualities, sour funk, and some raspberries. It smells like a good sour with a bit of meat on it.

T - Taste is pretty good. It has a nice, underlying tartness with a little acetic acid and some good raspberries. There is some funk in there as well. Initially it has some good pucker factor but it gets really easy to drink as you go. A minor complaint was the finish, which was just kind of boring.

M - Medium bodied, slightly dry finish, soft carbonation that feels bigger due to the tartness of this beer.

O - A good beer, I find this to be a nice sour and would love to get a bottle if it ever went to that. For an American Wild, you could definitely do worse.

This is a different beer than Wild One. It is Wild One, aged in barrels on Raspberries.

A - Instead of Wild One Brown with minimal head, it was a much more red/burgundy color. Lively head on it.

S - It is muted sweet fruit, with a strong vinegar back end. It does have more of a nose that WO, but the fruit aren't as present as expected.

T - Oh my. Think Raspberry Lambic. It is more tart that WO, but is balanced by a sweet Raspberry finish. Taste wise, it is a better beer, considering it is more complex, with the base of bell's best brown, the souring process, and then raspberry aging.

M - More lively than WO. Seems like the brewing process, or perhaps the aging process has ended with a beer that is more carbbed than WO. Much more pleasant mouth feel.

O - This is a knockout beer. The difference between it and WO are profound. The tartness, balanced with the sweet raspberry is excellent. Overall, I look forward to more WO hybrids from Bell's. I think they got it down.
