Poured into a tall clear glass. Has a sort of dark opaque honey color, nice fluffy tan head, moderate carbonation, many floaters, and good lacing.

I smell a sweet roasted nutty malt, along with toasted grain, bread crust, and a sweet honey/faint toffee note. Hops are moderately present among all the different smells. Overall earthy and especially woody in aroma, each note is somewhat subtle. In the larger picture, a nice comforting smelling beer.

Tastes like it smells. Is very grainy and woody. Toasted grain, bread crusts, toasted nuts, a sort of doughy malt, an apple flavor, nice grassy, floral, and earthy hops with a spiciness that is just right, along with a sweet caramel taste that supplements the backbone of the beer. Feels smooth and weighty on the palette.

Pretty great and wholesome amber ale that reminds me of the woods and the countryside.

Amber Ale brewed by Bell's Brewery - Eccentric Café & General Store, with an ABV of 5.80% This American Amber/ Red Ale pours out a nice copper color with a small white head. There is also some fine spotty lacing to this brew, it does stick to the side of the glass. The smell of Bell's Amber Ale is rich with roasted grains and malts. There is also some nice hop bitterness in the smell as well. So far this is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is bold with flavors. You first pick up roasted grassy grains and malts. Then a nice smooth hoppy bitterness at the end. There is a lot going on in Bell's Amber Ale , I really enjoy how smooth this brew goes down. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. The body of this brew is a solid medium. This brew would go nice with a dinner or cool day. The mouth feel is Bold, Roasted ,Clean, Smooth, and Refreshing. Overall I'm going to give Bell's Amber Ale a Solid 4 out of 5. I would definitely look this brew up again giving the opportunity to. Bell's Brewery - Eccentric Café & General Store, did a real nice job with this brew.

Dark amber color with a light haze. Modest and quickly receding head leaves only a few spots for lace.

Dry caramel malt aroma. Little to no hop. I also get light perfume.

The flavor is darker with brown ale elements blended with the aforementioned dry caramel. Good body but with an even higher carbonation level. The hop is also stronger. The aftertaste is hoppy and earthy. It lasts a long time.

Look: Thin head with effervescent bubbles over opaque honey tone; suspended sediments permeate
Smell: Fairly subtle, but a tad hoppy- not a crisp, conspicuous smell
Taste: Grainy with a touch of hops, so slightly bitter
Feel: Crisp and medium-bodied; grainy aftertaste
Overall: Very drinkable, but not exactly memorable. I love Bell's packaging, especially their animal labels and caps on this beer, Best Brown, and Two-Hearted. Really stands out

Bell's Amber is probably the best example of a well made American amber beer (in northern France it is quite common to come across one). Quite drinkable but also complex. Malty, roasty with a bready aftertaste. Also easy on the stomach and not too overpowering on the palate. Smooth finish. Definitely an underrated beer. I recommend trying it when you see it at a bar. Also I imagine that this style is a lot harder to make than a smack in your face hop bomb. Respect!

Reminds me of the New Belgium Fat Tire Amber Ale which is not a good thing. Cheers! C (75-79) score range

Very nice hazy copper/amber color. I recklessly poured in the middle of the glass and holy sh*t the head took up 3/4 of the glass, off white and beautiful. I had to wait to be able to pour the rest of the bottle. Head subsided to three fingers, and only slowly did it dissipate throughout the drink. There was always foam on the beer to the last drop. Prominent lacing that lasts. Smell is underwhelming. If I were blindfolded I probably wouldn't know the difference between this and a "common" grocery store beer. Taste, though, is excellent. Not a complex beer, quite simple actually. But sometimes simple is good, and this is one of those times. Mouthfeel is excellent, creamy and moist. Light aftertaste that does not linger. This will definitely be a regular for me.

Pours with a solid head and a nice copper color. Lacing is thick and stays the whole time. Smells a little like bread with some hops and light maltiness too. Great smelling beer. Tastes exactly like an Amber ale should: Nice and balanced with a little upfront ale flavor floowed by a tinge of caramel & sweetness on the back end. Perfect amount of carbonation and the mouthfeel is dead on. Just a great example of what an amber ale should look, smell and taste like. Easy to recommend this beer to anyone. Its easy to enjoy and the ABV wont kill you. Highly recommended!
