Poured from 12oz bottle into Spiegelau Wheat Glass. Bottled on October 7th 2016.

L: Hazy yellow typical of a wheat beer. Finger width white head that slowly recedes into a thin layer. Good Lacing.

S: Rich yeasty aroma, wheat bread.

T: Clean flavors of light peppery clove, light toasted biscuits, faint hits of tropical hops, pineapple, also a bit acidic in that way. Refreshing and a was to lighten up a deep winter.

F: Light body, low alcohol and a crisp beginning and refreshing finish make this very drinkable. Honestly this would be good year round.

O: Been awhile since I had this and it is better than before, I often find Witbiers to be a bit overwhelming in the spice areas but this is just right IMO. Highly recommend.

Light golden color, hazy, heavily carbonated. 1/2 inch thick white head, recedes fairly quickly. Light aroma, hints of banana/wheat and cloves. Moderate feel, initial taste is hefe-like, banana, cloves, wheat, following the aroma. Only slight bittering in the middle with a mild slightly sweet finish. A pleasant beer. Refreshing. A nice change from all the dark and/or high ABV beers in the winter.

Golden color characteristic with a lot of sediment floating around (looks like a sludgy gel). Smells light and very much like citrus, specifically grapefruit. Sharp, acidic bite. Tastes faintly like a lager.

Can't believe I'm just getting around to reviewing this one, I must have several every winter. This one is pretty standard, you get exactly what Bell's says. Aroma is wheat ale and spices: clove, allspice. Tastes just as it smells, but a little on the thin side. This one isn't going to roll your taste buds over. Smooth and easy, great on a cold winter evening.

Pours the expected golden straw color but head retention is minimal. Belgian yeast & clove on the nose but there is some off-note that is reminiscent of sawdust and spoiled lemon. Taste is very clove forward, has a spicey phenol vibe without the booze kick, but lacks any distinction or delicateness that wheat provides. You get the sense it overwhelms with the clove to hide the bland base.
