From XXXII. In Teku glass. Playing Tomb Raider 2015. The barrel provides a lot of wine character to the beer, making it feel more like a sweet wine with beer characteristics, but its tasty. Not much foam though, which may be normal given its high ABV

Poured a deep amber with zero head. Only the thinnest ring of bubbles at the edge with the glass.
Smells of stone fruit and leather. And syrup.
The taste was a little disappointing with barely discernible hints of vinegar lingering in the background. The first thing I notice is high viscosity. This is not a thin beer. The sensation of carbonation turns up in the mouthfeel, despite having no head.
Had better barleywines. But not many.

Hazy dark amber color, small tan head. Aroma has lots of dried fruits like figs, dates and plums along brown sugar and brandy. Taste starts balanced with caramel and dried fruits, just slightly acidic with some wood tannins from the barrel. Medium body, quite sticky, low carbonation. It’s a quite good barleywine with well hidden ABV but it has a slightly stale wood note which I don’t really like.
