Nice citris nose. Bitter and hoppy. Not my thing, but not bad on an objective basis.

Golden, clear colour. The beer is topped with a high, finely bubbled, cream-coloured head. The head is characterised by a long reduction time and a nice decoration of the glass.
In the aroma, malty sweetness, spice notes, pepper, herbal accents with a light lemon note, a hint of Belgian yeastiness.
Taste is dry, herbal and spicy. The bitterness picks up in intensity on the finish. Slight malty sweetness present, but somewhat in the background.
Alcohol well hidden. High saturation, characteristic of the "Belgians". Texture not completely smooth. Body medium upwards. Aftertaste medium long, dry, spice and herbaceous.

From the stubby bottle, it pours a clear yellow color with a nice white to just off-white head that slowly reduces and leaves some spotty lacing. The nose gets a nicely spicy yet malty scent. The mouth gets the same: light spice and light malt - dangerously easy to drink!!

Hazy yellow, soapy. Enters the mouth soapy with a bitter taste. Tingly. Not a very deep taste. Bitter aftertaste.

330 ml stubby bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.5%. Clear pale yellow colour, huge and lasting white head. The aroma has distinct notes of anise and other spices. Light bodied and refreshing for its strength. The flavour is not too sweet, and has also strong notes of anise, quite unusual in such a pale beer. Unfortunately I am not a big fan of anise in beer ...

Poured a 330ml bottle into a pint glass. A massive fine white head on a slightly hazy straw. Good head retention.
Spicy fruit smells.
Mild but spicy hop finish.
Moderate body and carbonation.
Light and refreshing Blonde Ale.

Fresh, crisp and well balanced abbey blonde with a soft, smooth and well bodied personality. Great for summer evenings. Very underrated beer. Perhaps in my top 20.
