11.2 ounce bottle poured into a snulip.
Bottled 7/19/22

It opens with a little skunk aroma during the lively pour. The body is pale-gold, not quite clear and is topped by a huge bone-white head that leaves some lace and has great retention. After sitting for a minute the nose switches to zesty/spicy hop aromas with sweet indicating malt and yeast aromas, and alcohol, coming through as it warms. The flavor is more malty than expected, honey, dried light fruits, sweet at first, with a dry-ish spicy finish. It has a creamy, medium-weight body that drinks pretty smooth. This one has some age on it and I imagine it to be a different beer fresh, but as is, it’s pretty damn enjoyable.

Christ, drinks like something much lower ABV. A very typical, straight down the middle Belgian Blonde with a citrus finish. Can't fault it. It's a great example of the style.

Purchased a four pack of this beer at the local Total Wine.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip glass. Beautiful white head atop a clear bright yellow body, excellent curtain lacing. Smell of sweet fruit and spice. Pleasantly yeasty with an earthy background. Good feel. Nice tasty beer.

"Produced on 7/19/22"; drank 2/16/24 @ the Yarchives.

Cloudy dull orange yellow appearance; champagne bubbles rose throughout the session.

White grape & fresh flower notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel. White grape flavors up front; mild fresh flower notes on the finish, with a pleasant carbonation bite at the end.

Subtle & elegant; another fantasic beer from St. Feuillien.

Brasserie St. Feuillien "Grand Cru"
11.2 fl. oz. brown glass bottle "Produced on: L1196 09:16 19/07/2022" and sampled on 15/10/2023
$7.99 @ Total Wine & More, Claymont, DE

Notes via stream of consciousness: So is this beer old? How strong is it? It's 9.5% ABV which is decent but the label also notes "DRY HOPPING" and a year and three months seems a little bit too long for that. We'll see. It's poured a clear deep golden body beneath three fingers or more of rocky white foam. Hundreds of bubbles can be seen rising quickly within. In the nose it's sweetish, grainy, fruity, earthy, spicy, and subtly herbal. I can see that there are some hops there but I'm going to need to find a fresher bottle and re-review it at some point. On to the taste then... as is usually the case it follows the aroma. There's a bit of extra peppery character, and some apple and citrus, as well as a light floral character. The grain is sweetish and just lightly grassy but balanced by a firm bitterness that, in combination with the alcohol, brings it to a dry conclusion. There's not too much alcohol there but it is clear, although at 9.5% that's to be expected. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and crisply effervescent with a fine-bubbled, elevated carbonation. That helps to bolster the head keeping it full, and leaving almost solid walls of lacing behind. All in all I feel this is a classic of the style. But what is that style? It's an elevated strong golden ale. There's nothing new in it but it is really well done in comparison to quite a few of the other beers like it on the market. Judas from the Brouwerij Alken-Maes comes to mind as the alcohol is even clearer in that and it's only 8.5% ABV. I over paid for this bottle but if I could find it for less I'd certainly be buying more of it.

750ml
Caged/Corked
Bottled On: 19/04/2021

Over 2.5 years on this one!

Poured into a chalice a very nice slightly hazy dark golden yellow/orange color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice creamy/thick one-finger plus white head, also leaves a very nice big island, and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is very nice, hoppy, malty, yeasty, very nice floral/fruity, banana, coriander, peppery, licorice, some funkyness. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, yeasty, very nice floral/fruity, banana, coriander, peppery, licorice, nice little funkyness/sweetness. Full Body, pretty nice bitter/dry finish, ABV is hidden very well. Overall a very nice brew.

2018 vintage poured into a clear Bon Secours goblet.
Cold and Crisp, lots of effervescence , bright head that dissipates quickly. Sharp notes from the 9.5 abv, but flavour improves as it warms. Definatley more complex as the warming settles in.
I enjoyed, but was a little pricier than I expected at 5.99 for a 330 ml bottle.
Might try again but not a first choice.

Gold in color with a half inch of frothy eggshell white on top. The aroma is of dry light malt with a champagne like sweetness. It tastes just as it was advertised in the aroma with a very crisp, light, crackery malt and a champagne like sweetness. The mouth is very dry and highly carbonated.

Carbonation flutters up through the fairly clear golden straw beer to keep a dense white finger of foam locked in place for the whole ride. Leaves thick lacing on the glass.

Smells of ripe peaches and herbal hops. Mild crackery malt, and a hint of sweetness.

Tastes like candied peaches, with a hint of herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Not picking up the 9.5% on this one, well hidden.

The alcohol coats the tongue giving a perceived fullness to the body, but it finishes nice and dry.

Very well made beer. I would have liked to see the dry hops shine a bit more as it is advertised as such on the label. Other than that, drinkable, flavorful, and well balanced.

Poured from an 11.2 ounce bottle into a chalice glass, bottle date is 03/12/2020, price $4.99.

Appearance: pours a beautiful hazy, golden, straw color with one-finger white head that dissipated until just a thin, broken layer of small bubbles remained, minimal lacing on the glass, average carbonation for the style.

Smell: some honey sweetness then banana, wet hay and Belgian funk.

Taste: The taste follows the nose, initially sweet honey then banana bread and wet hay with that Belgian funk that lingers in a good way, the 9.5% ABV is very well disguised.

Palate: somewhat creamy and medium body.

Overall: This is a very nice beer and reasonably priced, I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the style and would buy this again.

Brewed May 2020. Poured a spectacular rocky, creamy head. Very little sediment in bottle. Full, spicy tripel-like Belgian yeasty nose. Noticeable EtOH. Deep malt and strong yeast taste; a bit cloying but nothing off-putting. Definite EtOH presence in taste and mouthfeel.
