Poured from an 11.2 ounce bottle into a chalice glass, bottle date is 03/12/2020, price $4.99.

Appearance: pours a beautiful hazy, golden, straw color with one-finger white head that dissipated until just a thin, broken layer of small bubbles remained, minimal lacing on the glass, average carbonation for the style.

Smell: some honey sweetness then banana, wet hay and Belgian funk.

Taste: The taste follows the nose, initially sweet honey then banana bread and wet hay with that Belgian funk that lingers in a good way, the 9.5% ABV is very well disguised.

Palate: somewhat creamy and medium body.

Overall: This is a very nice beer and reasonably priced, I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the style and would buy this again.

Brewed May 2020. Poured a spectacular rocky, creamy head. Very little sediment in bottle. Full, spicy tripel-like Belgian yeasty nose. Noticeable EtOH. Deep malt and strong yeast taste; a bit cloying but nothing off-putting. Definite EtOH presence in taste and mouthfeel.

330 ml bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 9.5%. Hazy pale golden colour, huge white head. Moderate spicy and sllghtly yeasty aroma. Plenty of carbonation in the mouth (a little less would still be enough). Spicy and crisp flavour, fairly dry for a Belgian ale this strong, decent hops.

88 ain’t great to Raul - Raul is thinking something better that starts with a 9 - not Gretzky style, but just something a lik more. Damn thing just hits well. No waboom like Ali, but just a nice lil pop like a nerd on his latest pimple.

Cloudy orange with a white cap. In both smell and taste I get a lot of honey, banana, belgian yeast, botanicals with citrus and pear esters and hints of must. Smell focuses on sweeter and yeasty notes. Feel is so light and easy: yeasty, estery, sneaky creamy in the middle, finishing light and pale, very elevated

Pours a clear golden blond color, brassy and bright with visible carbonation. A moderate head soon dissipates and yields a ring of lace.

The nose opens fruity with notes of pear, apple, citrus and melon. Aromas of cracker, bread and a touch of caramel balance well with notes of grape, giving it a vinous quality.

Opens sweet, with notes of honey, bread dough and dry cracker, with flavors of Candi Sugar. Notes of fruity esters evoke notes of pear, apple, white grape, melon, and citrus. Nicely spiced with a light earthy bitterness, a touch of alcohol spice and modest flavors of grassy hops. The palate then dries up nicely, vinous and champagne like, along with a dry and lightly bitter finish.

Medium bodied with an ethereal lightness and well hidden alcohol. The mouthfeel is smooth and soft, contrasting well with the lively champagne like carbonation.

Sublime with its lightness, dangerously drinkable. Complex too with elegant flavors. A good example of the Belgian Strong Pale Ale style.

Excellent Belgian ale - golden under a fat white head - lots of fresh grain, bitter hops, mild yeast - mildly sweet with suggestions of fruit, mildly bitter with a light woody, herbal undertone - light on the palate but lively - clean finishing...

Another famous Belgian on my sampling tour. Great looking brew on the pour, with cloudy golden hue and a big creamy head and ample lacing. Aroma is fruity and earthy. Feel is light and taste is fruity and smooth with some caramel sweetness and a dry finish. ABV is strong, but hidden. I love this beer and will be buying again!

This one pours a mostly cleark dark orange/slightly amber, with a huge fluffy head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like floral and herbal hops, sweet malt, peach tea, and cloves.

This is interesting, and hard to nail down style wise - it's a strong hoppy Belgian pale ale, I guess? The hops come across as a herbal thing, along with some peach and tea-like flavors - is that from the hops or from the yeast? Whatever it is, I like it. There's some clove and flowers, too, along with a strong sweet malt character ont he back end.

This is dry up front, but kind of sticky sweet on the back end, with no booze feeling, and a decent drinkability to it.

This isn't squarely into my style range, but I can still appreciate it for sure. It's well done.

L- Quite pale straw, very minor haze (equally tiiiny amount of sediment left in bottle). Pours with 3mm white head.
S- It has a suitably dry smell, no richness nor ABV suggests itself to me. [It opens up somewhat if warmed from chilled just a touch].
T- It's on the dryer side, dryer on the front, some quite deep spices come through if you sloosh it around your mouth.
F- The carbonation in the mouth here is mammoth - I swirl the glass gently to remove some. Some decent mouth-feel comes through if you give it time slooshing on your palate.
O- Well it's a pale ale and not a (say) Tripel, so you get the hoppier/dryer side here. It also clearly has some pungency. This beer seems to completely change between fridge-cold (intitially), then later per Smell above^, and now later still getting down towards the end of the glass - some beers open up brought up a few C from fridge cold, this one seriously does.
BB: 21/03/21 330ml bottle bought from Beerhawk/UK.

11.2oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It smelled fruity and sweet with toffee and caramel. Dried stone fruits, toffee sweetness and a spicy bite.

Pours a clear light gold, large head that lasts well considering the strength.

some bubblegum, other phenols, over ripe apple, . Bit of fart unfortunately.

Taste is light, touch of citrus peel, spritzy finish that is dry. finish and mouthfeel best thing about the beer.

Another Belgian beer with a rating as large as its abv and I cant see where it is earned.
