Brewed by:
Tree House Brewing Company
Massachusetts, United States

Style: American Double / Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 9.80%

Availability: Limited (brewed once)

Notes / Commercial Description:
Juice Machine was originally devised and brewed to support our very first trip to Extreme Beer Festival in 2014. We’ve revived and tweaked the original recipe on a 60 BBL scale and brought new life and experience into the idea of an obscenely hop saturated yet juicy and delicate Double IPA. It is essentially a marriage of the King Julius malt bill with a hopping intensity schedule similar to that of Very Green. The use of Magnum, Columbus, Amarillo, Citra, and Galaxy creates a deeply complex drink with unapologetic flavors of tangerine, mango, lime, papaya, and grapefruit with waves of dankness. Hop burp nirvana, indeed.

Many thanks to Knapp85 for this howler.

A - Pours a hazy dark orange color with a pinky thick creamy white head of foam that subsides to a soapy looking thick lacing ring. As the beer warms the haziness goes away.

S - Loads of intense tropical fruit that buries any malt aroma presence. Intense grapefruit rind, pine, orange, and mango.

T - Spicy/peppery juicy red grapefruit, mangos, some grass and floral bitterness, and finishes with a lingering bitter tropical fruit and pine resin. The 9.8% ABV is incredibly well hidden and although detectable...just barely.

M - Gentle, smooth carbonation, and coats the mouth with a dry, peppery resin while the tongue salivates.

O - This is an incredible D-IPA, a definite must seek out for lovers of big IPA's.

Nice cloudy pale orange color, great citrus smell. It has a bitter dry taste but very smooth mouth feel. It would be very easy to drink a few and I was tempted to gulp it down It was a really nice beer IIPA taste but drinks like a session I think
