Tasted last night at #ACBF in Boston. Well worth what was clearly the longest line at the show. Pours a bright golden yellow. Fantastic nose of peach, pine, grapefruit. While the aroma was not as pronounced as Heady Topper (granted, it was poured into a plastic cup), it was as fresh and more crisp. At 8.2% ABV this was incredibly balanced all the way through with fruit on the nose and mid-pallet migrating to dry, bitter hops on the finish. Nearly perfect.

Special thanks to my friends in MA, the lines were long to get this beer, and the effort greatly appreciated.I'm a huge Lawson's fan and a recent fan of Tree House as well.

The clear as a bell glowing orange amber appearance was a hair disappointing given my affinity for the hazy, cloudy unfiltered IIPAs I've become partial to, particularly from VT. One finger of soapy white head reduces to a cap,and leaves solid lacing in the Lawson's tulip.

Aroma is what one would expect from two notoriously hop forward brewers: juicy pineapple and mango stand out to me, slight touch of navel orange with that classic herbal quality in the mix, alcohol detectable but not overwhelming.

Taste starts out a tad more piney than expected, quite resinous. The fruitiness builds throughout the first pour, nice lingering bitterness and notes of mango and orange are bright and flavorful. The booze is not unnoticed, but not really a strike against Yaaarrgghhh either as it never reached the level of heating the throat or chest.

Mouthfeel is light medium and a touch oily. Dry finish and very enjoyable.

First rate IIPA and a solid collaboration. Hope to see more collaboration between these two fantastic New England breweries, very promising.
