Notes: Beneficiaries of Chance is a beer that celebrates the good fortune of love, and the truly impossible circumstances by which it takes place in the scale of the universe. It asks us to be thankful, and remain in awe of the pure unlikelihood that we are given such an opportunity. It celebrates friendship, awe, kindness, and all the feelings we are fortunate to experience as part of the human condition.

L - pours a pale yellowy haze with a greenish hue. Fluffy, sticky head that clings to the glass.

S - apricots, papaya, and pineapple. Coriander-laced orange with yeasty, lemony notes. Bright and playful.

T - soft, malleable flavors of satsuma, nectarine, and jackfruit. Passionfruit, yeasty bitterness, and herbal brightness. Orange blossom and lemon-lime. Finish is neutral and a touch dry.

F - big feel for a pale ale. Did they brew this with oats too, like everything else these past couple months? Smooth and velvety. Supple creaminess.

O - gentle and caressing. Appears to be topped up with Galaxy due to its pineapple zing and earthy, herbal hop essence. Oh, and the color. Fantastic feel and brightness for an APA. Not terribly juicy or punchy, but that's not the point. Nice beer to follow up a few big bois.

Growler filled a few hours ago.

Pours a nice creamy thick 1 finger head that fades at a med pace, leaves nice whisps of lacing, typical Tree House super hazy murky carrot orange nectar colored.

Nose great Southern Hemisphere hops, Kiwi earthy terroir like, that grassy earthy New Zealand greatness in there, with some mild tropical notes, a Galaxy like tropical citrus, tangerine, papaya, faint mango like, etc. It brings a mild grapefruit pith, faint touch of melon rind and even a touch of a minty note, great hop profile, with mild sweet creamy malt base.

Taste starts with a creamy malt base, soft with a hint of sweetness, a nice base. Then hops explode and tons more Southern Hemisphere. The New Zealand terroir explodes again, mild grassy earthy like components that only come from there, and into tropical fruits again, a mix of Kiwi and a Australian Galaxy like, tropical with lots of papaya, a little dank resinous passion fruit note, mango, soft clementine like citrus note, touch tangy rind and some grapefruit pith, etc. Later the hops get a faint melon rind, with a nice pithy bitterness. Finish is pretty bitter, more pith, melon rind, grapefruit, little papaya like, and hops get a bit spicy too.

Mouth is med bod, nice creamy feel, nice carb.

Overall quite nice. Reminds me of what I remember Green being when it first came out, with less gravity and less malts, the big New Zealand like hops, nice juicy Galaxy hops as well, good creamy soft malt base to go with it, etc. I really think this is how Green used to be before it was hard to get the hops and was forced to scale back, very tasty.
