So... we brewed an all Nelson IPA! Harmony is absolutely packed with one of the most unique and delicious hop varieties in the world - Nelson Sauvin. We taste and smell pungent New Zealand white wine (acidic citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, lime) offset by a medley of tropical fruit. A simple malt bill provides a mildly sweet balance but this beer is really all about the hops. A soft and proper bitterness finishes things off and keeps you coming back for more. We just adore Nelson... and this beer!

Pours a very hazy golden color with a creamy white head that provides lots of lacing, this Nelson Sauvin-hopped hazy (NOTE: I absolutely LOVE Nelson Sauvin hops) features loads of white grape, passion fruit, and clementine aromas, all in their dank, beautiful glory.
The taste is directly derivative of the nose, with the white grape and passion fruit flavors forward, and those delicious clementines following for a delicious transition to a slightly sweet oat finish. I could drink gallons of this.
The mouthfeel is medium and surprisingly prickly, fitting the “down under” motif of this classically juicy Tree House hop bomb.

Excellent head production, retention, and lacing; brilliant orange opaque body. Undeniably beautiful beer for the style.
Strong and lush nose, especially for the modest single IPA ABV. Absolutely pops with notes of jack fruit, moderate dankness, grapefruit, mango, lime, and pineapple. Nelson all the way, although I don't get any white grape.
I do, however, get white grape on the palate. A touch more watery than the nose suggests, belying the ABV; imperial this is not. Mildly to moderately dank, with a bit of dirty earthiness to the green hop expression. Additional notes of white grape, peach, pineapple, melon, ruby red grapefruit, black pepper, pine. Low to moderate bitterness, but in keeping with Tree House tradition, it's less bitter than throwback American IPAs, but more bitter than most modern NE IPAs. The balance is excellent. Just a bit of cracker, white dough, and pepper from the malt base.

16 oz can into a tulip glass.
Pours a hazy burnt orange with a massive effervescent off-white head. Great retention. Leaves some splotchy lacing along the top of the glass.
Mild aromas of cantaloupe, peach, grapefruit and orange. Not getting the white wine notes one expects from the nelson hop.
Lots of citrus up front, namely grapefruit, orange and lime. A bit of cantaloupe and a strong doughy malt backbone. There's a faint grape skin note on the finish. Good but disappointing.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Spicy, with a nice hop bite. Very dry on the finish.
Overall, this is definitely a very good single hop IPA. It's not the greatest representation of the nelson hop, but this is definitely a nice, drinkable IPA. Hopefully there will be more single hop IPA's in Tree House's future.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Tree House Brewery in Sandwich for about sixteen dollars. My one hundred and fifty seventh brew from these guys. This was very nice. Good to see a newer TH beer under 8%.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Captain Lawrence muffin top pint glass; canned on 06/24/21, code HAPPINESS IS WHEN WHAT YOU THINK AND WHAT YOU DO ARE IN HARMONY..
A: Pours a cloudy, dark golden orange color with a one to two finger, white head, rim plus retention and amorphous rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of peach and apricot predominate over citrus, overlaying appreciable graininess.
T: More semisweet than semidry. Palate largely follows the nose, although the sweatiness of nectarine is, by far, the most notable fruit, and caramel malt and a bit of corn are very evident. Solid bitterness offsets much of the fruit and all of the sugars.
M: Medium bodied with a moderate effervescence.
O: A very interesting and distinct IPA from Tree House. Well crafted.

16 oz. can. Hazy orange. Smells of herbals and white grape. Tastes of strong herbal flavors, white grape behind it. Finishes with an earthy bitterness. Malty, but not sweet. Dry and bitter, surprisingly. Medium body. It's ok.
