Alcohol by volume (ABV): 9.00%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
2014 saw the creation and evolution of one of our proudest accomplishments here at Tree House: Double Shot. Over the year we often wondered how far we could push the coffee and still maintain a balanced and delightful beer. In the spirit of maintaining the integrity and refinement of the original Double Shot, we created a new base beer to withstand precisely double the coffee addition Double Shot receives to satisfy our curiosity. The result is something quite surprising and completely original! More milk chocolate than coffee, and more brown sugar than molasses, Triple Shot conveys a super unique flavor profile that explodes with complexity as it warms. The crew here tastes “straight chocolate syrup”, ”chocolate covered raspberries”, “sweet espresso”, and “chocolate Charleston Chew (seriously)”. A truly rich treat that begs to be shared - we’re psyched to shared it with YOU!

Look- poured from Treehouse 750ml into Treehouse snifter. Dark, nearly opaque stout. No head whatsoever indicating very low carbonation. Intense coffee aroma....and nothing else. Just coffee and more coffee. Mouthfeel is almost syrupy the beer is so sweet. Coffee in aroma coming in wave after wave. Intense sugariness makes it a bit chocolatey but more in the mochachino way - as coffee dominates all. Sorry I bought this. Totally one dimensional and sickeningly sweet. I won't be able to finish the 750.

I'd put it on par with Good Morning. For those that don't want it or can't finish it. Send it my way!

Poured from a 500 ml bottle into a tulip glass.

Pours a dark brown, near pitch black color with a finger of effervescent tan head. The head has great retention, leaving a beautiful ring of cobweb lacing around the top of the glass before settling into a thin film resting atop the beer.

The aroma is the damn coffee apocalypse. Fresh roasted coffee beans, dark roast coffee grounds, and coffee ice cream followed by a wave of milk chocolate, dark roasted malts, pecans, and brown sugar.

The flavor is far sweeter than expected. Milk chocolate, chocolate syrup, and brown sugar up front, then comes some vanilla and coffee ice cream. Finishes with plenty of sweet caramel and molasses, and the foggiest idea of roasted malts and coffee.

The feel is full bodied with low carbonation. Creamy, smooth, and soft as a pillow. Hides the alcohol well and finishes dry.

Overall, an incredible double stout that pretty much comes exactly as advertised. The aroma is all about the coffee whilst the flavor is a decadent, chocolate dessert.

Pours opaque, dark brown in color with 3/4 inch head. Taste is rich coffee, baker's chocolate, nut, and roasted malt. Super smooth, slightly bitter, heavy bodied, and low carbonation. May be the smoothest coffee beer I have had. Amazing...So rich and smooth. Need to find this again.

Not blown away by single shot, I was hesitant about this beer. That was foolish of me. This beer was so smooth and flavorful. The coffee smell was booming out of the growler as it poured into the glass. Perfect half inch head with little lacing. Taste was spot on coffee that I wanted to throw some cream and sugar in. Amazing brew that proves once again why tree house continues to set the bar.

Honestly the surprise of tonight’s deep tasting. So much hype surrounding this beer I expected it to flop. No dice. This was really good.

Tan head, black pour. Not too viscous, but the body sets up nicely for a great roasty coffee profile.

Light malt hits the nose first, but let’s be serious. This is all dark roast coffee that I’m getting for aromas on this.

So roasty, just as advertised, but with tons creamy chocolate to even out the bitterness. It’s a very well-balanced beer; not everything needs a plethora of adjuncts to be successful.

The body is medium in thickness, and oh so creamy. Sticky coffee residue leaves its mark.

I had this beer side by side with Double Shot. Double shot had better coffee, but this one is even smoother and thicker. I do like this one more, but I can't pin point why. I think its that velvet smoothness and still so drinkable.
