Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.80%

Availability: Limited (brewed once)

Notes / Commercial Description:
Our burst of Curiosity persists… ! Brewed with a massive dose of Northwest American hops, Fourteen pours a brilliant hazy orange in the glass with a dense and creamy head. We experience intense flavors and aromas of sweet orange, jackfruit, papaya, guava, and mango - Perhaps the most purely tropical beer we’ve ever brewed…or, in Lauren's words: "it tastes like the rainbow". The finish is strong, providing balance to the sweet fruit flavors. Your patience will be awarded, as Fourteen’s complexity opens up as she warms... A beautiful beer, in our opinion!

Tallboy poured into a snifter. Gyoungit shared this brew.

Looks like a lot of these East Coast IPAs with that unfiltered but juicy body. Sticky lace and pale white head. Lace sits over the body nicely. The body looks like an unfiltered grapefruit juice. 4

Smells of pungent passionfruit, pineapple and tropical fruit. Thick sweetness over that. Delicious smelling. 4.5

Lots of bitter grapefruit here. Not nearly as much tropical fruit. A bit of pungency, then sweet malt and then lingers with bitter citrus. 3.75

Lighter than medium body, easy-drinking, but intensely bitter. It's intense in that regard. 4

Love the light body for sure, but the flavors don't capture that fruity nose and the bitterness is a bit overdone for my tastes. A little malt woulda helped matters but these East Coast beers seem to hold back on that.

My first in depth Tree House beer, and wow does it kick some ass. Have had from can and growler and both are equal after just a few days. An astonishing hazy orange color. Big frothy white head that laces nicely. Smell is citrus and pine, taste is a huge citrusy hop explosion. So juicy and delicious. Smooth and creamy in the mouth. Great great beer.
