Tree House Brewing Company
Massachusetts, United States

Style: American Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.80%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
Bright was created to be a clean and elegant showcase for one of our favorite hops - Mosaic! It is crafted with a simple malt bill and fermented with clean American Ale yeast to create a flavor profile that is more a function of its vibrant fresh ingredients than an expression of yeast character. Bright’s aroma is a cornucopia of citrus dank… The taste follows suit with notes of grapefruit, sweet berries, and clementine with a gentle orange rind finish. She is dry, soft, deceptively juicy and adequately bittered resulting in a very approachable yet pungent Double IPA. We hope you find this bit of a departure as enjoyable as we do!

Masterful at big hoppy beer, Mad Tree brewers roll out with another massive hop taste- one that's radiant with citrus and sharply bitter for a taste that's nothing other than "bright".

Cloudy to a murky level, the golden, yeast-laden pour is creamy and visually dense. As a dense white lather mounts, the scent spills over with zesty white grapefruit, tangy orange and a kiss of lemon and lime. Herbal and tropical, the complementary aromas precede a cookie-sweet early palate that's woven with biscuit and light honey.

The beer blooms on the middle palate, shedding its is early creamy weight and following with a tightening of hop taste. The vibrancy of citrus is accompanied by dried and tart pineapple, gooseberry, passionfruit and melon before trailing into a grassy, herbal and deeply resinous bitter taste of hops.

Medium-light on the palate, its "creamy-dry" texture seems in opposition of texture. However, its early creaminess gives a rounded but not excessively sweet taste or feel to the hops. Trailing dryness is brisk, clean and highly refreshing with an after current of dried citrus and chive.

Gorgeous bright golden with a massive creamy head and a lace that trails to the last drop.

Soft nose of fresh malts, citrus rind and pine.

Lively and creamy on the palate with a medium-body and slight chew. Loads of fruity hop flavors. Getting more pine and citrus rinds along with some pith, grapefruit, tangerine, rhubarb, blueberry, candied oranges and plenty of floral notes. Dank, resiny and ashy. Underlying juiciness adds more depth and body. And there's a bit of a doughy malt flavor in the back and finish, which is dry, bitter and peppery.

Tree House delivers a solid nod toward West Coast DIPAs, and proves that it doesn't always have to be about the haze.

Look: uncharacteristicly clear for a TH beer. Nice big head of about two fingers that dissipates quicker than most of their beers.

Smell: Heaven for me. Super dank that some might describe as onion, garlic, or arm pits. I smell earthy dankness.

Taste: just as the nose offers, it reminds me a lot of a clarified version of Doppelgänger.

Feel: medium to light bodied. Drinks very nice for the ABV.

Overall: call me fanboy or whatever, TH knocks it out of the park with this super dank beer.

Bright and Bright with Citra perhaps TH most underrated beers. Not saying either is going to kick any of the big TH dogs off the porch but that sweet nose and soft mouthfeel is still an absolute treat.

I would reach for this one before most other breweries' DIPAs in a second.

1 PINT can
Served in a tulip glass

This beer pours amber in color with golden highlights. It is topped with three inches of off white head that leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is dank and piney. I get hints of tropical fruit.

I taste some pineapple and tropical fruit. Those flavors give way to some bitter grapefruit and some mild pine flavor in the finish.

Medium to full mouthfeel

This is my second Tree House beer. I am not blown away. I live 30 minutes from Hoof Hearted and was not blown away by them either, although their beer is growing on me. I guess I am just a simple man who likes Ohio (D)IPA's like Hop Juju, Bodhi, Creeper, and JAFB Rain Delay IPA.

Canned on 4/7/16; drank on 4/9/16 in a tulip glass; a major shout-out to the kind gentleman from Maryland who was standing next to me in line at Trillium today and gave me a can of Bright he had procured in Monson the day before, Cheers!

Golden and softly hazy, topped with 3 fingers of yellowish head. No visible carbonation.

Smells of citrus and pine, oranges and pineapple, catnip and pot, umami potato chip, and really dank and resinous.

First, all the fruity and hoppy green qualities come in with great force and greater definition and elegance than on the nose. Then it subsides to an orange, pineapple sweet juice for just a moment, then a fresh wave of complex hops ensues on the tongue. Amazingly complex, one of the best brews I’ve ever tasted.

Medium body, drinks like an IPA, not a double. Big, resinous feel, but smoothed out with a moderate, foamy carbonation. Different from other Tree House brews I’ve tried.

Had this one bestowed on my by a benefactor who cut line in front of me at Tree House Brewing a few days ago. Amazing brew. Drinking in Muskoka, ON, Jan 7th, 2018.

Pours a big foamy creamy head that fades semi slowly tons of soapy lacing, semi hazy golden tan orange color.

Nose mild generic tropical fruit, little papaya mango notes, light pine sap earthy characters in the background, grassy pine needle forest floor but light, mild orange citrus.

Taste brings big citrus, little tart but juicy orange little pith, touch fruity bubblegum, generic tropical notes little papaya mango thing, mild grassy little earthy pine sap but not a ton, touch earthy, nice citrus in general and fair bitterness. Little creamy malt, faint booze warmth, pretty nice surprisingly.

Mouth is med bod, little creamy, lighter but decent carb.

Overall pretty, mosaic pine sap resin comes through a little esp the aroma, but tropical and citrus came through nicely, very rare to get a good batch of mosaic.

Tree House - Bright DIPA
Canned 7/13/17 (24 days old)

Received in a trade from @csparks33 . Thanks Chris!

Poured into a Civil Society "IPA Glass" (still not sure what this glass is actually called @Lingenbrau)

L - Lovely golden body with a 2-finger eggshell head. Slow to recede, and leaves a ton of lacing on the glass.

S - grapefruit for days. I also get some other citrus (orange/lemon).

T - whoa grapefruit! They aren't messing around with the citrus on this one. Quite a bit of bitterness on the back end...more so than I've experienced with other Tree House brews.

F - medium. Bordering on creamy but not quite that thick.

O - This strikes me as a more traditional "East Coast" IPA as opposed to a NE style brew. The bitterness brings the west coast to mind. I wish this is what Sierra Nevada had envisioned for their Tree House "East Meets West" collab ipa...or at least something closer to this.

Look-light orange in color, not as cloudy as you expect from Treehouse. Pours a finger and a half of thick head that settles into a stubborn ring.
Smell-Lots of dank hops, not much else going on here
Taste-Like the smell the taste is full of dank hops, a little bit of papaya and melon is in here, followed by a quite bitter finish.
Feel-Feel is nice, light body, creamy, finishes very slightly dry.
Overall-A testamant to the greatness of this brewery, this is a solid beer but its by far my least favorite from Treehouse.

Serving: Can
Canned: Nov-29-2017

Pours a bright gold color that is just a little hazy (at least by TH standards) with a couple fingers of moussey white head. Good retention; some confetti lacing. (4.25)

Sweet tropical fruits. Passionfruit, papaya, minty/peppery zing, orange, vanilla. (4.25)

Tropical funk, some earthy notes, little overt bitterness, guava, sweetie I neutral malt body.  (4.25)

Creamy body with medium carbonation and a soft finish. (4.5)

A very nice double IPA that drinks much lighter.
It looks very nice, seems to glow a little with a nice substantial head. The aroma and flavor are both like some sort of tropical fruit hard candy, sweet with a little punch and a very soft bitterness to offset it. Creamy and luscious to drink. An enjoyable beer that I'm glad I have another of. (4.25)

After a second can I can say that this one tastes like A "NEIPA" brewed by someone outside of "NE" (or at least like the ones I have tried).

The aroma is fantastic on this... smells like generic berry cereal if that makes any sense with some citrus notes. Taste and feel are clean and smooth, not what you'd expect from tree house due to the different yeast, but really well executed and a nice change of pace. Glad they have this in the rotation and that I was able to try it.

Pours translucent gold minimal head to a nonic, from a dated 8/13/18
Dank aroma turns to fruit on taste, turns to alcohol finish.
Nothing to complain about, but not thier best.

Bright-flavored beer. Mosaic profile with a bit more fruitiness, in classic Treehouse fashion. More lemon than orange citrus flavor. More of a mellow ride than I would expect; bitterness is muted. Crushable summer brew.

A: A beautiful yellow gold with 1/2 inch foam head. As expected, cloudy.

A: Lemon zest, tropical fruit

T: Bright citrus and passionfruit dominate the palate followed by a hint of sweetness that fades into a smooth finish.

M: Medium bodied. It doesn't leave anything to be desired for the style.

O: In my opinion, this is one of the best in the game. A perfect balance of citrusy brightness and tropical fruit round this beer out as one to be emulated!

Received this from nephew in NH. This is what a NE style IPA is all about. Hazy, juicy yet very balanced for a double IPA. I loved this beer! Got 3 cans, drank 1 first night with wife, shared 2nd one with my local Taphouse guy, who really enjoyed it. Drinking #3 in 2 days with a real beer nerd.
