This batch of Bright was created to be a clean and elegant showcase for a pair of our favorite American hops - Simcoe & Amarillo! It is crafted with a simple malt bill and fermented with clean American Ale yeast to create a flavor profile that is more a function of its vibrant fresh ingredients than an expression of yeast character. Bright w/Simcoe & Amarillo’s aroma is a bounty of citrus, fruit, and pine. The taste follows suit with notes of tangerine, grapefruit, and sticky hops with a gentle orange rind finish. She is dry, soft, and adequately bittered resulting in a very approachable yet intense Double IPA... classic, delicious, and perfect for this hot weather!

T: Tastes clean and not too hoppy.
F: Good mouthfeel.
O: Not one of my favorite TH offerings. It's just okay.

Three fingers of fluffy white foam; deep gold with good clarity; long lasting cap retention; lots of soapy lace; heavy ring. Grapefruit and pine nose; a little cat pissy as beer warmed. Earthy grapefruit; flowery lemon; pine; very light lemon peel bitterness. Medium light body, moderate minus carbonation; no hop astringency. Overall a light easy drinking IPA with a long earthy hop linger.

Bright Simcoe & Amarillo IPA-Imperial/Double

I judge aromatics by the freshness of the hop. This one and all I concider top shelf have a freshly picked and crushed lupulin aroma, a bold one. The two hops: Simcoe and Amarillo are classics. Together, it's a bold, pine tree sap and tangy fruit forward

Always a good time when Tree House cans thud onto the porch. There were a lot of them. Let’s get after this first 16 oz. can.

The pour is leggy mango. The nose is a warm Florida morning of gentle citrus & wind-blown florals. Quiet start.

Bright w/Amarillo & Simcoe lets me know immediately that this isn’t a sugary mess of a local NE IPA; this was built by professionals. Citrus & pine sap…boom!...rip the palate. Subtle tangerine & overripe swamp drift in & out, but everything is cleaned up by a jolt of finishing bitterness. Dry. Drinkable.

Would that a local could start making world class NE IPAs like this. I’m beginning to doubt it will ever happen. This is an excellent marriage of old & new styles.

A: Pours a lightly hazy orange color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap that leaves good lacing

S: Lots of dank citrus and pine notes up front along with some lighter grassy and floral notes

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with a mix of citrus and pine with some dank grassy notes and floral hints in the background. Light-moderate bitterness. Finishes with lingering pine and citrus rind

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A very good DIPA that definitely leans more west-coast, especially by TH standards. Well balanced and super easy to drink. Definitely worth checking out

From a 16oz can, dated 10/22/20. Served in an IPA glass.

Pours an only moderately hazy apricot colour with two honest fingers of tight, soft, lathery fluff. Retention is awesome, barely settling back into a fat, puckered and dimpled blanket of foam insulation.

Aroma of doughy malt and fruity yeast. Peachy, flowery.

Taste is powerfully earthy with grapefruit bitterness and spicy pine in equal measure. Oily orange peel and dried flowers.

Feel is clean and juicy. Medium bodied although aggressive carbonation makes it seem even lighter.

I’m probably overrating the taste here because I’m just a total slut for simcoe and can’t be objective.
