Notes: We are pleased to introduce a new occasional offering in the Tree House Pale Ale line-up: Pride & Purpose! As we marvel at the land in Charlton being transformed from a brushy landscape into a space of future identity and creativity for Tree House, we find ourselves imagining the type of beers we’d like to enjoy after a hard shift on the mezzanine overlooking the new brewery. To that end, Pride & Purpose is crafted to be a soft, juicy, low alcohol offering that exhibits balance, hop saturation, and an appropriate bitterness to entice your next sip. Brewed simply with pale malt, Galaxy hops, and a hint of Citra, we taste flavors of pineapple, orange, and passionfruit with a grapefruit pith finish. A medium body and hints of doughy malt provide balance and elegance. This is a simple beer that reinforces an ongoing sense of focus and intent, and serves as an acknowledgement that without your support none of this would be possible.

Picked-up a case of cans at the Tree House Brewery in Charlton for $79.20. My 103rd brew from these guys, & first new one in a few months. This is a very-solid brew, but middle of the pack for TH LABs for me.

16 oz can into a willi belcher glass.

The pour is hazy straw in color with 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Leaves some spots of lacing S it settles into a thick blanket of foam.

The aroma is exceptionally grainy, with notes of pineapples, grapefruit, and melon. Subdued but pleasant.

The flavor pops, bringing huge notes of pineapple, honeydew melon, candied orange, and juicy fruit gum. The grainy malt is ever present in the back. Finishes with a subtle, rindy bitterness.

The feel is medium bodied with soft carbonation. Creamy and pillowy with a dry finish.

Overall, this is a great pale ale that's flavorful and drinkable as hell. You honestly can't go wrong with a Galaxy/Citra combo.

“Bride & Porpoise” Canned 09/05/19
Has that TH look, super hazy and thick, with a fluffy white head. Very subtle nose, with the aromas you expect but at a level 2 or 3 versus a 9 or 10. This is a subdued, tasty, and approachable/agreeable/drinkable PA for any beer drinker. Heavy on the malt and sweet finish/feel. Has that fruity flavor throughout but pleasantly balanced. I can see how this might throw people off at first bc they expect a hoppy PA. But as stated, it’s meant to be an after-work beer for enjoyment. The description is perfect; it’s a unique release and very, very good.

Canned 8/25/16; drank 9/17/16 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque yellow/orange appearance.

Nice white head; strong, frothy lace.

Pineapple & orange citrus notes in the nose.

Creamy medium mouthfeel.

Pineapple, wheat & orange citrus flavors up front; faint dry grass notes on the finish. Mild but creamy & fruity.

Enjoyable.
