Super Sap is an imperial interpretation of Sap brewed with the spirit of the holiday season in mind! It is intensely kettle and dry-hopped resulting in an immensely hop saturated beverage. Don’t be fooled by the name - Super Sap pours a hazy yellow color in the glass and emits aromas of grapefruit, tangerine and papaya. The flavor follows suit with a pulpy grapefruit note as the predominant characteristic. Super Sap finishes gently with a soft pine-like bitterness buoyed by a fluffy mouthfeel. We hope it can contribute positively to a festive celebration this holiday season.

Sap wasn't a good beer. I had this beer the first time it was released and it somehow was worse. It was improved greatly with sssappp. However, super sap is pretty bad.

L - Hazy straw. 1-inch head. Some lacing.
S - Grapefruit, pine, fresh hops.
T - Fresh hops, grapefruit, mildly grassy.
F - Medium. Some chew.
O - This brew is NOT another "Heady Topper" wanna' be. It is its own IPA. With a more tame presentation of the hop profile, as opposed to the Topper's in-your-face, like you're expecting to find some hop flowers floating in your beer kind of New England IPA. ;-)

Hits keep on coming from Tree House Brewing. Just a top notch company with fantastic brews. Possibly rivals The Alchemist. Super Sap is similar in hazy look like their other beers King Julius & Very Hazy but lighter. More citrus in flavor than KJ but also much more milder. I would recommend to most since KJ can be a little overwhelming. Definitely doesn’t come across like a DIPA. Quite smooth for a citrus flavor. Goes down very easy.

Pours an orange-ish golden hue, white head. Orange zest on the nose. That orange carries too with mint, menthol, sage. A little bit of malt on the finish. Not sure this is really a step up from regular Sap but some folks will freak out about this while I'll just say that we should just get more regular Sap.

Quite frankly about as attractive as a beer in this style can be. Fantastic head production, retention, and lacing.
Nose is wonderful and juicy, but doesn't quite explode from the glass quite like Tree House's best offerings.
Flavor really pops on the palate, however, especially with tropical fruit notes. Absolutely swimming in papaya, mango, and peach, along with lesser notes of tangerine, pineapple, and grapefruit. The citrus flavors would likely pop more if there were more accompanying bitterness, but this is among their softest offerings.
Mouthfeel is full and exceptional.

Hazy deep gold; frothy white dome with good cap retention; heavy ring; medium heavy lacing. Dank grapefruit nose. Taste follows nose with a little pine right behind. Soft feel; medium body; moderate minus carbonation; no astringency. Overall, amazingly easy drinking.

Poured from a 16oz can stamped LITTLE FULL, LOTTA SAP 11/29/22 to a Nonic at fridge temperature.
The body is a glowing opaque apricot. A ¼” white head fades within 2-3 minutes to a ring but laces well.
The aroma is, well… sappy, but with a musty compost.
The taste has melon and citrus in the front, the sap comes in the end as a hop hit. The mouth dries out nicely, but there is also a mild hop burn, maybe due to the almost two month age of this can.
Mouthfeel is classic Treehouse, not nearly a milkshake IPA, but really nice for a double NEIPA.
I’m pretty happy with this beer, but I have to get a fresher can.

Canned on 11/29/22; consumed on 12/29/22
Pours a vaguely translucent, burnt orange body capped with two fingers of fluffy, soapy, white foam; good head retention leaves a slight half-finger of cap, moderate, frothy collar, and a comprehensive misting of spotty lacing dotting around the walls of the glass.
Aromas of lemon verbena potpourri feed into a taut, bready malt backbone as wet pine finds musty grapefruit peel and tinges of white grape essence fleeting through the back end of the bouquet.
Taste brings boggy passionfruit into grapefruit peel, while lingering swampy resins are underscored with a flaky malt backbone as soft lemon contrasts fresh pine over time.
Mouthfeel presents a deft, medium body and a moderate-full carbonation; rounded and creamy textures sport a taut subtlety as a distant suggestion of bittering over the mid-palate eases to a clean and maintained close.
An odd incorporation of traditional American IPA elements within new-school haze, yielding a largely muddled, indecisive profile to an overall unexciting result; an uncommon 'miss' from Tree House.
