Notes / Commercial Description:
This batch of Double Shot was crafted to integrate seamlessly with a remarkable and complex coffee - Colombia El Jordan! Given the rich, syrupy nature of the coffee, we brewed a base beer with similar attributes to create a uniquely decadent batch! El Jordan pours thick in the glass, emanating layers of flavors and aromas, including milk chocolate, cocoa, honeycomb, and even a hint of raspberry. It is singularly rich, the perfect accompaniment to a big plate of barbecue on a cool spring evening. It is, in our opinion, an example of what is possible with careful selection of ingredients paired with focused brewing execution. Please keep cold and enjoy FRESH!

One of the more milk chocolate-forward Double Shot variants in recent memory. The base beer is thick, extremely rich, and syrupy without being too sticky or sweet. The coffee addition provides a bit of bitterness and a subtle roast to balance while offering some interesting notes of dark fruit and cocoa powder. Overall, think about the adding one of those raspberry jam-infused milk chocolate batters to the best latte you've ever had, letting it melt into the liquid, and then sipping on that.

From a growler filled yesterday in Monson. No need for a ton of words - if coffee Stout can be done better, I can't imagine how. High quality coffee smell and taste with a super creamy smooth mouth feel. Simply out of this world.

One of the better Double Shot variants, black, thick, rich coffee and chocolate on the nose and palate. Fluffy and dense mocha head, and smooth full mouth feel. Fabulous even after a couple months!

Look: Dark with a nice head to boot.

Smell: Nice, coffee-strong scent and aroma

Taste: Strong coffee flavor with very little booziness.

Feel: Smooth to the touch.

Overall: Quite amazing and the total package for sure. Between a 4.75 and perfect 5.00.

Growler purchased 4/7/17 at brewery. Drinking vessel of choice is a plastic Holiday Inn cup, cause that's where I am and that's what I've got.

L: Two finger light tan head with long retention, leaves lacing and a nice cap and ring. Beer is dark black with no light getting through anywhere.

S: Coffee. Also coffee. But this is like the best coffee ever, and in it is cocoa, honey, and light cream and it is amazing.

T: The best coffee ever up front (need to see if I can find these beans), sweetened with honey and light cream, and a definite sweet raspberry quality as well. Malt bill was intended to mimic the coffee so it comes in seamlessly. Finish is neutral to slightly sweet, no alcohol in evidence.

F: Medium body, light carbonation, construction and balance are just perfect so I have to give a perfect score. Flavors linger on the palate for moments and every sip is a joy. A coffee stout simple cannot drink any better than this.

O: This is the best beer I have had to date. It's that simple. They didn't can it (so far as I know) and limited us to one growler each, so only 500 or so people will have this cherished experience. I'm just lucky today was my Tree House day for the year.

Grabbed a growler at the brewery. Shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a good one finger mocha head that fades to leave creamy lacing and blanket.

S - Aromas of bakers chocolate, roast malts, nice coffee notes, good rich coffee grounds. Very fragrant.

T - Taste is similar to the nose very solid chocolate notes. The coffee is nice and fresh with solid sweet coffee ground notes. Really pleasant almost vanilla like notes. Very tasty.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, smooth and creamy, nicely silky with great feel.

O - Overall this is a very solid porter. Excellent coffee qualities. Really nice.
