Notes: The art and science of brewing continues to captivate us - every opportunity to experiment in search of how to improve our beer, and to further our understanding of what ultimately makes a beer enjoyable, enriches our spirit! To that end, Curiosity Forty Four combines several of our very favorite American and Australian hops, including Galaxy, Citra, Simcoe, and Amarillo in the kettle and heavy doses of Citra and Galaxy in the dry hop. The result is a heavily tropical Double IPA dripping with fruity hop oil saturation. Utilizing a new technique, the majority of the carbonation in Forty Four developed naturally in the fermenter during conditioning. The result is a uniquely soft body and tight carbonation lending supreme drinkability and flavor that ignites the senses and invites the next sip. We hope it can contribute in a meaningful way to a special moment in your life.

absolutely beautiful looking beer, dope can as well. pours out a hazed golden orange color, finger and a half of bright white head is dense and creamy and decorates the glass nicely. this one is hugely aromatic, while pouring im picking up pulpy OJ and grapefruit juice notes, shoving my nose in the glass there is a good amount of bubblegum, sweet bready malts, some danky green character, minty herbaceous notes. on palate is creamy tangerine orange, peaches, grapefruit peel, spicy pineapple, mango, guava, melon, soft bready malts and that sweet bubblegum pop. subtle smack of pine and grapefruity bitterness on the finish keeps it balanced and rounded. mouthfeel is oh so soft, goes down really smooth and no hint of booze. this is a masterpiece in my book!

Canned 1/12/18, thanks to rudzud

Pours a huge fluffy creamy head, 1 finger fades semi slowly, tons of sticky lacing, semi hazy clearer than I expected, orange color, great head but appearance was OK.

Nose some citrus, stone fruit, tangerine clementine citrus, plenty of doughy wheat malt, toasted, feels like it dropped off a bit, faint tropical maybe pineapple but barely, faint mango, fair pithy maybe vegetaly thing

Taste about the same, some pith and rind, citrus, orange juice but the pulp only, creamy wheat, very creamy malt, oats too I think maybe, little mango and tropical but barely, some rind, papery pulp, finishes a bit more bitter, pithy, pulp

Mouth is med bod, decent but ligher carb

Overall OK, doesn't seem to live up typical TH beers, maybe it fell out.

Thanks to JLindros for sharing this can.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy golden straw hue with a nice head that fades to leave nice lacing.

S - Aromas of light citrus, big pithy notes, light vegetative. Some weird stale hop aromas as well.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice light bubblegum notes. Faint citrus notes, orange peel, light tropical notes. Finish is malty with a a lingering bitter finish.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, little fluffy.

O - Overall this was a super underwhelming beer. Hops were really underwhelming and the malts were heavy.

Canned 1/12/18; drank 2/21/18 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque orange appearance.

A violent pour yielded a big white head; thick, tree-rung lace.

Mango, wheat & faint orange citrus notes in the nose.

Soft, medium mouthfeel.

Mango & dry wheat flavors up front; orange citrus notes on the finish.

Tasty fruit notes with a dry balance; not the most transcendent NE IPA but an above average example of the style. I'd have another...

How fortuitous to pick this up the eve of my VT ski weekend! Too bad the conditions were icy as shit. Oh well, at least I had good beer!

L - as I've already touched on, the label kills it. Pours more yellow than orange with that signature Tree House haze. Milky and creamy-looking.

S - green, rindy melon jumps out, smoothed by a bit of peach. Juicy Fruit and soft, wheaty pineapple.

T - lots of hops and lots going on here. Bright and invigorating. Bubblegum, mango candy, and cantaloupe. We've got some satsuma in there along with kiwano. Soft yet potent. Sweet pine and a pointed bitterness that politely allows plenty of time for the fruitiness to make a stand before wrapping up. Fresh and dry on the finish.

F - surprisingly light given the ABV but suits the flavor profile. Whimsical and refreshing, yet still retains just the right amount of stickiness.

O - I liked this a lot more after getting a chance to sit down and enjoy it. It's on the lighter side of Tree House DIPAs, but welcome. Always a fan of the peachy melon type flavors. Like a melon creamsicle. Melonsicle.
