Style: American Imperial IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.80%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
BBBrighttt w/ Citra was created to be an intense yet elegant showcase for one of our favorite hops - CITRA! It builds upon the base beer resulting in an amplified flavor profile as a function of additional kettle and dry hopping from the base recipe. It is an intense and fruity concoction that tastes much like fresh squeezed orange juice. We find it to be tremendously drinkable in spite of its stature, and we believe it is the perfect beer for those in search of intense flavor and supreme refreshment. It's everything a Double IPA should be! Enjoy!

Pours hazy, caution light yellow in color with 1/3 inch head. Taste is watered down orange juice--not a reflection on body, mango, and starfruit. Medium bodied, sweet, with medium high carbonation. An improvement on Bright, Bbbrighttt, and Bright with Citra. Makes for an above average beer. If you like Bright this is a great beer as you still get plenty of the Bright taste. This lands firmly in the Bright family. That said of all Tree House's beers, Bright (outside of Nelson) is amongst my least favorite. Quality ipa. Great by most standards, just countless other Tree House beers I prefer.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a teku glass.

Pours a lightly cloudy yellow gold color with 2 fingers of effervescent white head. The head leaves some splotchy lacing before settling into foamy ass blanket. Might be the lightest Tree House IPA I've seen.

The aroma is all about that citrus. Orange juice, grapefruit rind, tangerines and key lime pie. There's a slight hint of melon and sweet malt on the back end.

The flavor tastes more like an orange than an actual orange. It's ridiculous. There's also some grapefruit and melon with a dank finish.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very fluffy and creamy.

Overall, yet another great addition to the Bright series. This one is about on par with the normal Bright w/Citra but this is a good thing. If you hate Bright you're a butt and I hate your face. Severely underrated beers.

A- Tallboy into a snifter with a slightly hazy golden-yellow body and a thick frothy and creamy white head. The cap stops rising at about an inch high and has great retention. Lacing forms with a few large sheets and plentiful drizzle.

S- Fruity hops and as one might expect the Citra factor is immediately noticed and comparable to their other Citra forward beers, a very intense aroma overall. Stone fruits are big with plenty of tropical and citrus fruits as well. Generally juicy with notes of bubble gum, mango, peach, tangerine, grapefruit and orange juice. Dank herbs, weed and floral hops as well. Hints of sweetness.

T- The juicy stone fruits really come out in the forefront here as the sweetness present seems to accentuate that character very well. Peach, apricot, mango, grapefruit, melon, clementine, dank herbs, floral, lime, sweet orange zest and tangerine hops. Juicy and sweet. With time that orange zest character builds and takes over but all in all a juice blend.

MF- Creamy and silky medium bodied brew. The carbonation is at a moderately high level and this texture has some nice chew to it. Ends with a clean and medium level of bitterness.

The citrus from the Citra comes out big here despite it opening up with plenty of stone fruit initially and hints of tropical fruits. The orange character gets a bit strong and in the end that is just a bit much and it doesn't feel all that well rounded or balanced, at least in the taste.
