Double Shot is one of our proudest creations. Through years of focused brewing execution, we are able to craft a coffee stout with balance, elegance, robust flavor, and smooth drinkability. For this rendition of Double Shot, we add literal buckets of hand processed Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans. The resulting beer has all of the luscious chocolate, caramel, and coffee flavors of the original with a decadent layer of vanilla cream-like flavor with a velvety, Tree House stout texture. What a treat! We are so proud to share this beer with you - Enjoy!

Pours jet black, impervious to light, thick mocha head that lasts. Aroma is roasted chocolate malt and espresso with some vanilla, a little yeasty. Flavor is very smooth and creamy chocolate, sweet vanilla, really great balance. Coffee is prevalent on the finish. Fairly full bodied. The most impressive thing about the beer is how smooth it is when you swallow it. No harshness or bitterness. I usually find this in a barrel aged beer. Remarkable.

poured into a Teku glass via bottle

color is a nice dark roasted coffee brown with tan foam

smell is a vanilla bomb, plus some chocolate and of course coffee!

taste is the roasty coffee up front, followed closely by the vanilla and the chocolate and caramel bringing up the rear

low carbonation

and mouthfeel is full and creamy, not too sweet

a fantastic coffee stout, as I'd expect nothing less from TH

absurdly good beer, huge thanks to my brother for sharing. this is rich and decadent, absolutely packed with vanilla. never had the original double shot, but this was a standout with the vanilla, a really cool edition of this beer, which is sure likes they do a lot of playing around with. the coffee aspect is monumental, really good, and really deep espresso, with dark chocolate and molasses layers to it, just really well built and quite sturdy on the grain side too. there is some real sweetness to this, but all the roast of the dark grain and the coffee offsets it just enough that this isnt too sweet to drink, and the fullness and richness of the feel is divine, lush and silky, round and soft and sexy, and it hangs on the palate forever. the coffee and the vanilla together is a really nice flavor note, thankfully, because it runs all the way through this, even though i think the vanilla is a little dominant. its okay though because this is such a natural vanilla, such a real vanilla bean taste that this high dose of it doesnt seem forced or out of place. i think it takes a very special base beer to be able to handle this much vanilla so gracefully, and this somehow seems effortless. i taste the beer for miles, and it keeps evolving long after the swallow. super tasty stuff, desserty and decadent, but not so much so that it really slows us down at all. stunning beer, as good as this sort of thing gets for me, i need to get my hands on the original!

500ml undated bottle.

Pours opaque black with an inch of tan head. Retention and lacing is moderate. Dark chocolate, espresso, and vanilla in the nose. Full bodied with an extremely creamy, velvety mouthfeel. Brownie batter with dark coffee and rich vanilla on the palate. Finishes sweet with booze-laced fudge, nougat, and espresso.

Holding no bars, Tree House once again comes out swinging with a cream stout that's simply soaking in fresh espresso and vanilla beans. The culmination of flavors are something of beer loving, affogato dreams.

Double Shot with Vanilla Bean patiently plops into the glass with a luscious density of onyx milkshake. Deep, dark and ominous, its roasted appearance billows with a slow swirling cream that crowns the rim with a short, dense blanket of suds. Over which, a rich medley of aromas rise with chocolate, coffee, heavy cream and sugar, all slathering on the palate like a coffee and cream malty latte.

Thick and luscious, the middle palate rolls on with those milk sugars and vanilla spices clinging to the tongue with absolute decadence. Burnt cream, seared toffee and bittersweet chocolates all work hand in hand to sculpt a seamless malt weave that's balanced only by the earthen complexity of espresso, soil, earth and the inherent bitterness that it brings. A bitterness that employs hops to chase a balanced taste into finish with a soothing cocoon of vanilla cream much in the same way as does their Single Shot, only bolder throughout.

Full and velvety, the stout simply wraps around the tongue with pleasant savory roast. Like silk against the tongue, the ale's textures are seductive and comforting, pulling the attention away from the near-cloying sweetness. Yet, the sheer enormity of taste favors the direct roast, sweet and milky character that ultimately defines the beer.
