Formerly Julius W/ Peach

Cobbler is Julius conditioned atop a heavy dose of freeze-dried peaches. The resulting beer carries waves of overripe peach notes encircled by prevalent but balanced citrus character.

We taste peach nectar, sweet peach cocktail, and citrusy hops atop classic Tree House mouthfeel.

We enjoy utilizing freeze-dried fruits in Julius for their natural and concentrated flavor profile that well-represents the fruit used. Enjoy this original and delightful concoction!

Had on tap. Pours hazy, orange in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is fresh orange juice with a touch of peach. Medium light bodied, moderate carbonation, slightly sweet. Makes for a good rendition of Julius. Much like other added to ipas from Tree House, I wish the peach would shine more. Here it is more nuanced. Good, but subtle, adding just enough to the base beer to let you know it is there.

Pours a very hazy orange color with a beautiful, fluffy white head that provides the expected TH lacing (it coats the glass). Looks delicious in the glass. The nose has some nice citrus notes and LOADS of juicy peaches, which is no surprise.

It is a bit surprising how well all of that peach works with the citrus flavors on the taste, and it’s the slightly sweet oat flavor at the back of the palate that helps this delightful beer avoid Cloyingville, with an assist from the soft, pillowy mouthfeel.

Another winner from the hazy masters, IMHO.

Spectacular mouthfeel. Outstanding aromatics. No alcohol burn. Notes of citrus & peach throughout (obvious). Just a fantastic version of a classic Julius. Crushable.

Golden orange, very hazy, pours with a small white head that fades to a few wisps and retains a small collar
Loads of peaches throughout the aroma and taste, peach juice, peach ring candy, stone fruit, apricot, citrus, floral citrus, orange, orange marmalade, grapefruit, lemon, some herbal and green hops, some tropical notes, pineapple, fruit punch, malt base is basically nonexistent, slight malty sweetness but mostly fruity sweetness, touch of acidity and almost sourness, lingering fruit
Medium body, smooth, carbonation on the low side (lower than Julius)

Another day, another Julius variant. It's not as interesting as some others that add a novel flavor to Julius (e.g., Creamsicle), but if you like peach cranked to 11, this is the one for you. Personally, I much prefer the balance of the original.

@WunderLlama sent this my direction during NBS BIF#16

Glows orange the colour of rich honey. Good finger plus of rich foam that dissipates leaving nice lacing on the glass as it retreats.

The nose is very fruit forward, though honestly my first impression is definitely peach. Tropical fruit melange kind of follows, with a citrus bent that evokes a bit of pineapple. My wife made a good observation: the half a can remaining in said can is undeniably pineapple. In the glass it smells more like peachy ring candy.

Flavour is a huge swell of sweet stone fruit... the peach continues to come forward, with a creamy sweet note to the middle third. Finish brings forth a bit of oily hop bitterness, but it's fairly light.

Among the softer bodies of the TH brews I've tried thanks to Maynard's generosity, but the sharp carbonation steals that impression right away and takes the forefront. The bitter hopping on the finish does finally build up a bit and last.

This is quite well done. But it still remains the fact that, for me, I find it significantly less impressive when a brewer just throws a bunch of adjunct in to achieve a flavour, rather than trying to find those flavours in the more traditional ingredients. Like, yes, this has strong peach impressions, and there is an element of that which is enjoyable, but at the same time, like... yeah, if I go eat a peach, it's going to taste like peach. And if I really want peach flavour bad enough to have it added to my beer, I think I'd rather just go eat a peach. I know I'm just being a curmudgeon and that there's vast numbers of folks who don't agree with me and really love these hopped fruit juices, yadda yadda, and good for them. I'm glad that the brewing culture has managed to find enough creative outlet to let folks have what they like. I'm just not the target audience for this style of brewing, though I think I actually like this one (with peaches) moreso than most of the other freeze dried/pureed adjunct IPAs that I've had from these guys (and I've actually had a fair handful at this point!).
/rant

I am eternally grateful, however, to Maynard for having sent me a huge collection of world class examples of this style for me to be able to make an informed opinion about all this. Thank you!

Pours a cloudy light orange. Good amount of off-white colored head that receded after a minute or two to a quarter inch then stayed there for a while. Small amount of lacing. Aroma is heavy on the citrus. Despite the fact that this was conditioned on top of peaches, I'm not picking any up directly on the nose. That changes a bit on the tongue. Up front, I get the citrus and tropical notes I associate with standard Tree House Julius but in the middle and particularly on the finish the peaches show up. (Update: the more I sip this, the more peach I'm getting) Nice soft pillowy feel, which is typical of Tree House beers. I'm not a big fan of IPAs, but I love peach in beer. So how does this one sit with me? It's solid. I can't say I've been dying to have peach in an IPA, but it's an interesting twist that was worth trying.

Pours a beautifully turbid medium straw color, perfect foamy head that lingers. Aroma is citrusy with a lot of peach flavor. Very tasty, lots of peach flavor, followed by citrus: orange, lemon, grapefruit. Creamy texture. Overall a delicious Julius variant.
