SnowSnow
Notes: Snow is a Tree House Wheat Double IPA featuring a notable percentage of wheat in the grist and a boatload of Northwest American hops. Utilizing Citra, Centennial, and Sabro in large amounts in both the kettle and the dry hop, coupled with malted white wheat in the mash, we are able to create a wonderful and singular member of the Tree House hoppy beer family! Juicy notes of tropical fruit, citrus, mango, lemon-lime, and a hint of coconut grace the palate before a wheaty and slightly doughy body provides heft and balance. Snow is unique in many ways, but also carries the grace, elegance, and balance of the more familiar entries in the Tree House line-up. We love this beer and think you will too.

Thanks to rudzud, canned 11/28/18
Big pillowy head, mild retention though, good lacing, super murky orange blond color

Nose explosion of hops, big citrus, tangerine, orange, tropical, mango papaya, faint grapefruit pith notes and lemon, creamy doughy wheat

Taste more citrus, creamy wheat, orange cream and marmalade, mango and papaya, little grapefruit again pithy and some rind, tangerine, then little lemony and interestingly coconut milk, doughy wheat little pulpy, a flash of alcohol, touch of stone fruit in the background

Mouth is med bod creamy soft little juicy, nice carb, flash of alcohol

Overall not bad, pretty similar to many of the tree house ipas but more wheat and mild coconut and lemon notes, although wish they came through a bit more, but still quite nice

Canning date: 01/17/19.
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch white head over a cloudy/murky golden body with some sticky lacing. Nose of citrus (orange, tangerine, and ruby red grapefruit), tropical fruit (mango, guava, papaya), and the slightest dank pine. Taste mirrors nose very closely with a finish of light sweet citrus pith under all that juicy fruit. Very nice feel and overall, yeah, I'm real glad I got to try this; and cheers to Rob for the hookup!!!

Picked up some cans of this at the brewery today.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a very pale golden milkshake hue with a creamy one finger head that fades to leave nice lacing and a dense blanket.

S - Aromas of light melon, nice bright citrus oranges and lemons, juicy but still pithy, flashes of mango notes. Little bit of lemon-lime and mint as well as some coconut cream pie. That's gotta be the Sabro hops they used. Interesting.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Definitely getting some more of that lemon lime going on and the lingering finish definitely has some coconut cream pie; a mixture of those Sabro hops and the wheat in the beer. Typical juicy citrus and a little tropical, finish also has some lingering bitterness.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated and almost feels thicker than normal for their hoppy beers. Creamy, alcohol is hidden well.

O - Overall this was quite the interesting and unique DIPA thanks to those Sabro hops. The lemon lime coconut thing going on is a fun little twist that plays very nicely with the doughy wheat body. May have to go back and get a few more cans.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a teku glass.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger of eggshell white head. The head leaves a huge crown of lacing before settling into a thin sheet.

The aroma brings notes of peaches and mangoes, with hints of grapefruit and toasted malt.

The flavor brings lots of candied peach, mangoes, grapefruit and bready malt. There's some lemon zest and key lime pie as well as a hint of pine on the finish.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth, soft and creamy with a dry finish.

Overall, a great DIPA that has plenty of fruity aromas and flavors whilst still remaining balanced and highly drinkable.

Excellent NE style IPA - I was expecting something that reminded me of a wheat beer, maybe some aroma hints or certainly in the taste, and didn't really find it. But this was a delicious beer nonetheless, and true to style if it's as listed. 1/30/20 date printed on can. Pours a hazy yellow color with some thicker fluffy white head and beautiful small rings of lingering lacing that lasted throughout. Smells of ripe fresh pineapple, grapefruit, melon, mango, orange, lemon and guava. Also some creamy vanilla, malt, bread, floral and very faint herbal hops. Not really any wheat. Taste follows the nose, perfect balance, great juiciness but again I didn't detect any wheat or clove. Higher ABV was well hidden. Smooth, soft, mild mouthfeel and great amount of carbonation. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
