Snow is a Tree House Wheat Double IPA featuring a notable percentage of wheat in the grist and a boatload of Northwest American hops. Utilizing Citra, Centennial, and Sabro in large amounts in both the kettle and the dry hop, coupled with malted white wheat in the mash, we are able to create a wonderful and singular member of the Tree House hoppy beer family! Juicy notes of tropical fruit, citrus, mango, lemon-lime, and a hint of coconut grace the palate before a wheaty and slightly doughy body provides heft and balance. Snow is unique in many ways, but also carries the grace, elegance, and balance of the more familiar entries in the Tree House line-up. We love this beer and think you will too.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned 12/12/2023, double snowflake.

Murky yellow, a bit of turbidity sitting in a classic opaque appearance. Kind of looks like peach custard a bit. Top is capped nicely with very fine foamed and creamy looking bubbles. Colored off white, there's a lot of staying power and a very creamed top that looks like boiled milk almost. Very fine bubbles and ring like lacing sort everything out. Just can't dig that body color.

Delicious sensing aroma. Sweet stone fruit, and hinting citrus oils, kind of an apricot angle going on slightly as well. Faint touch of dank as well. Lots of nice hop aromas going on here to explore. Strong and bold and very complex nose.

Palate brings the goods also. Chewy body with a mid palate that brings a wealth of flavors. Chewy sensing mango, touches of orange and citrus. Exotic vanilla and milky like sweetness, even going into bubblegum. Finish really provides a nice contrast. Budding herbs and sharp pine needles on the finish, mixing with sweet mint and sage like herbs to round out the beer experience.

Great hop profile, and love the malt backbone on this as well.

Poured from a can into a teku glass
Appearance – The beer pours a super hazy orange-yellow color with a thick and rocky head of foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading over time and leaving a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is a nice bland of wheat, yeast, and tropical fruits of pineapple, tangerine, and mango. Along with these smells comes notes of grapefruit hop and a moderately strong floral and pine hop smell. Some bready and toast aromas are in there as well, overall, crating a rich and inviting smell.
Taste – The taste begins as one may expect form the nose, with a mix of wheat bread and tropical fruit sweetness of tangerine, mango, and pineapple. There are also hop flavors of pine and grapefruit and a touch of floral hop, which all grow a bit stronger on the tongue as the taste advances forward. At the same time, some vanilla and pine develop, along with some light lemon and lime, with the combination of flavors leaving one with a rather pleasant and rich, but balanced taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thicker and chewier with a carbonation level that is moderate. Overall, the thick feel is nice and creates a rather nice slow sipper.
Overall – A rather flavorful and tasty brew. One to defiantly go back to again.

I’m a huge fan of TH & have tried many, many beers they have brewed. This is top notch. Snow will rival any NEIPA on the market today & may possibly be 1 of the best products TH has put out. Without writing a long-winded review I will simply say it is exceptional on every level.

Snow from Tree House Brewing pours a hazy golden yellow with a fluffy white head that dissipates slowly, leaving behind lacing on the glass. The beer has a cloudy appearance, typical of an unfiltered IPA. The carbonation is visible but not too aggressive, making it easy to drink. Snow from Tree House Brewing has a pleasant appearance that is typical of the New England style IPA. The hazy appearance and fluffy head make it inviting to drink, and the visual appeal is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. The aroma of Snow is heavily dominated by fruity and floral notes, with a hint of pine in the background. The citrus and tropical fruit aromas are intense, with a strong presence of grapefruit, orange, mango, and pineapple. The floral notes are slightly sweet and herbal, adding complexity to the aroma. There are also hints of malt sweetness and a slightly bready scent, which is characteristic of the New England-style IPA. There’s also a subtle spiciness in the aroma. The first sip of Snow IPA is an explosion of flavor. The beer is sweet and juicy, with a strong citrusy taste dominated by grapefruit, lemon, and orange. The hops add a nice bitterness to the beer, which balances out the sweetness and adds a pleasant bite to the finish. The mouthfeel of Snow is soft and smooth, with a moderate carbonation that adds a refreshing quality to the beer. The beer is medium-bodied, making it easy to drink, and the flavors linger in the mouth for a while, making it a satisfying experience. Overall, Snow is an exceptional beer that is perfect for anyone who loves a juicy, citrusy IPA. The beer is complex, well-balanced, and incredibly flavorful. If you ever get a chance to try this beer, don't hesitate, as you won't be disappointed.

Gorgeous pour from the can, it’s orange color and looks like papaya juice with a whipped 2 finger thick off-white colored head that faded very slowly and left excellent foamy lacing coating the Teku glass. Ripe and pungent is the best way to describe the nose; tangerine, orange peel, grapefruit, pineapple, mango and lots of tropical fruit. The aroma is so hoppy that it comes off as unbalanced, which I’m totally fine with as this smells great with all it’s hops and the trailing creamsicle accents.

Tastes like it smells with fresh squeezed orange juice, grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, Razzles candy, lime, tropical fruit, biscuit, yeast, tea leaf, floral hops, vanilla, clementines and orange creamsicle. Very hoppy with a mild bitterness, a smooth creamy feel that almost seemed like a flat beer with minimal carbonation.

This was canned on 01/05/22, so it’s a month old and still outstanding overall.
