Notes: We are extremely excited to share this rendition of Single Shot with you! Our friends at Gracenote Coffee assisted us with a carefully selected blend of beans from Brazil Dutra Estate and Ethiopia Misty Valley to achieve our desired flavor profile. Taking it a step further, they custom roasted the beans to bring out the qualities we have found work the best with our base beer for Single Shot. The result is an exemplary and dutifully refined beer featuring a coffee character with a rich and heavy body, with tasting notes of milk chocolate, marzipan & hazelnut and ever so gentle impressions of blueberry and strawberry. The beer, with all of its character and depth, retains an airy disposition that is pleasing to the palate for the length of a tall glass. We love this beer and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

This one pours a pretty dark black color, with a small head, and a decent amount of lacing.

This smells like nutty (hazelnut, pecan, etc) coffee, milk chocolate, roasted malt, and light smoke.

This might be better than any of the Double Shot variants that I've had. This is very complex, rich and creamy, with a nice nuttiness, some dry bitterness that feels maybe a bit smokey, loads of dark and milk chocolate, etc. The coffee melds into the base beer perfectly- you don't know where the beer ends and the coffee begins. For me- that's a sign of a great coffee stout.

This is really creamy, with a bigger body than the ABV would suggest, and a really high level of drinkability.

These days, I'm only really interested in stouts when it comes to Tree House. This is a worthy new entry to this long running series.

Brewed 12/6/2018 and picked up on 12/8 at the Brewery. Slight coffee in the nose and that stays on the palate after the first few sips, slight alcohol esters also stay with you long after you've tasted this beer. It's a great looking head that slowly diminishes to leave a nice lace down the side of the glass (TreeHouse Teku) A solid beer that I'll surely pick up again whenever it's available.

Picked up at the brewery and shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a thin mocha head that fades to mocha head.

S - Big aromas of chocolate syrup, good earthy coffee, light roast, little nutty.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice fudgy chocolate brownie batter, fruity acidic, lightly nutty, chewy. Finish is odd though, almost minty.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, smooth.

O - Overall this was a rather solid stout. Nice chocolate, coffee isn't too too wild or unique, plus the alcohol on the taste is a bit odd.

Thanks to rudzud
Decent foamy but smaller great, great retention and lacing, nice legs and pitch black

Nose mild nutty earthy coffee, a bit fruity, little dusty cocoa and fudge, caramel, but that's base beer, coffee is a bit light and boring

Taste little acidity, mild roasty coffee, touch fruity, like purple fruit thing, tangy, little cocoa and fudge, caramel, nougat base beer, creamy lush, mild bitterness, some alcohol evaporating bringing perfume vapors

Mouth is heavier bod, decent creamy carb and creamy lush feel, just a bit of alcohol

Overall eh, coffee is underwhelming, lighter coffee but doesn't stand out well, alcohol anesthesizing feel is weird for the low abv
