Notes: Spring is a Tree House Double IPA brewed with the spirit and feeling of renewal that comes with each New England Spring! A simple grist of 2-Row and Dextrin malt is utilized to create a beer that is glowing yellow and visually appealing. Spring is crafted with our house yeast, coaxed to be slightly less estery to allow the individual hop character to shine in conjunction with subtle but prevalent fruity esters of peach & pineapple. We utilize extreme levels of hop dosing in both the kettle and dry hop for Spring - more than is typical of our extra kettle & dry hopped double IPA’s - to create a beer that is rich with fruity hop oils and and intense disposition that coats the palate. The predominant flavor profile is overripe tropical fruit, akin to a fresh pressed juice with guava, mango, papaya, passionfruit, and citrus. It is assertive but not overbearing, gentle yet flavor-saturated. It is a beer we are excited to offer you as we enter the season of renewal.

Picked up a four pack of this at the brewery yesterday.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy/murky golden orange hue with a thick two finger white head that fades rather slowly to leave sticky side lacing and a dense, creamy blanket.

S - Aromas of floral hops and melons. Rather big on those, flashes of over ripe fruit but also a rather doughy aroma as well, Heavily floured raw bread dough. Little bit of pineapple as well. Almost a little bit of alcohol as well.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Super floral and melon forward, flashes of over ripe pineapple. There is also a decent flash of alcohol though that detracts some from the overall flavour profile. As it warms more of the fruits come out and it gets a bit less 'raw bread dough' like. Finish is soft without much bitterness.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, fluffy, creamy, though there are flashes of alcohol.

O - Overall this a solid enough DIPA from Tree House. The floral and melon notes are quite pleasant though the dough notes and flashes of alcohol are a bit foreign in a Tree House hoppy beer. Not quite digging it.

Single can given to me by a friend. My forty second brew from these guys. I liked this, didn't love it. Had just played 2 rugby games, & was having a lot of different beers, would like to try under more controlled circumstances.

Tree House Spring. Canned 3/20/19. Sent from egrandfield. Poured into Sierra Nevada Spiegl Glass.

Hazy, juicy, thick amber glow with a tall creamy head that rivals the best I've ever seen. Tons of lace as it recedes. Gorgeous.

Aroma gives me ASMR. No joke. It's like I just stepped into a brewery after they threw in a 50 lb bag of hops into one beer and did a dough-in on another one. Just MASSIVE fruit. Massive. Cantaloupe, orange, melon, clementine, guava, passion fruit, grapefruit, white grape. Pithy and juicy. Maaaaannnnn.

Flavor is likewise an explosion of fruit, but balanced with herbal and grass notes. Pithy orange and grapefruit, citrus blossom, tangerine, herb, lemongrass, and wet grass.

Feel is really creamy and smooth with slight prickly carbonation, and a deep resiny finish.

Overall, an incredible beer. I'm just infatuated with this one. So, so good.

Pours hazy, yellow gold in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is guava mixed with Orange Julius, tangerine and light lime. Medium-light bodied, Solid, excellent by most brewery's standards but just good by Tree House's high standards. Would get this again, but did not blow me away like recent hoppy releases Snow or Bright Centennial..still way better than Treat.

16oz can, Tree House snifter glass. Pours a cloudy golden yellow body, one and half finger frothy white head, great retention, plenty of lacing. Smell is floral, big papaya and guava, a bit of grapefruit but pretty heavy on the tropical fruit. Has a moderate caramel malt backbone, smells fairly sweet and fruity, with a slight zesty floral note coming back up as it warms. Flavour follows. Guava, papaya rule the roost, with a moderate caramel sweetness in the back. Mild grapefruit, a bit of zest, herbal notes on the finish, mild-moderate bitterness. Medium full bodied, on the verge of being too full bodied at first, but ends up being soft and creamy as it warms. Delicious!
