Curiosity Sixty TwoCuriosity Sixty Two
Notes: Curiosity Sixty Two finds us experimenting with the reasonable limit of hop loads in both the kettle and dry hop. It utilizes the most substantial hop charge in our history, resulting in a beer that is intensely fruity, with sharp balancing bitterness that quenches your thirst and entices the next sip. We taste and smell fruit loops, tropical fruit leather, and tang balanced by a deliberate and satisfying bitterness. This beer is not messing around as it coats the palate with fruity, modern hop nourishment. A landmark Curiosity, indeed - intended to be savored and enjoyed with friends and family alike.

On tap at the brewery. White head. Hazy orange juice color.

Very vibrant and tropical. Melon, guava, and mango for days. Floral and earthy hops. A bit green. Light bitterness. Very juicy.

I realize this is an experimental beer but I expected better from TH. Purchased 4/4/19, the look is a slightly dirty orange brown grapefruit color, very cloudy with little head. There was some nice lacing but it faded quickly. The taste and smell was of unsweetened grapefruit with a strange astringent aftertaste at the back of the mouth. I have not tried the previous Curiosity beers so I don't know if this is a question of style preference but it is certainly not my style preference. It is my least favorite TH IPA.

Thanks to rudzud, canned today
Dense thick head, lesser retention, good lacing, super murky cloudy solid color peach

Nose explodes, loads of tangerine and melon, citrus, stone fruit, mild doughy wheat malt

Taste big pithy spicy hops, citrus rind, creamy doughy malt and vanilla wheat, citrus zest oil, mild melon cantaloupe, tangy spicy citrus hops, dry finish hops getting very spicy

Mouth is med bod, good fluffy carb, astringent spicy hop

Overall not too bad aside from super vastringent spicy hop, but that really pome powers

Shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy golden orange hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light halo.

S - Aromas of great melon hops and spicy tropical hops. There is spicy hop on the finish that's somewhat out of place.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of melon, little spicy hop note that comes with the finish. Loads of citrus peel as well.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, smooth, lightly fluffy.

O - Overall this was a solid enough ipa. The melon notes are nice, however, there is loads of citsus peel as well. Still though, it's really green.

[IMG] So I got this gem from a local friend and good gravy it is insanely tasty. Canned April something can’t read what day, but fresh. Pours a beautiful hazy yellow orange with a finger white head that leaves some nice thin wisps of webby lace. 4.75

Smell is papaya, guava, tangerine, pineapple, and a hint of white grapefruit rind tropical all the way with very little bitterness. I love this nose. 5

Taste just assaults your entire palate with tropical guava, papaya, pineapple, mandarin, and the smallest amount of grapefruit in the finish. 5

Mouthfeel is soft, gentle carbonation but not flat, sticky but not dry, and goes down so crazy easy at 8.2%5

Overall wow is really all I can say. I am going to have one of my favorites after to see how it stacks up with this insane NEDIPA. 4.75
