Notes: For this curious exploration into the art and science of hoppy beers, we blended two different yeast strains - a classically soft and fruity english ale strain, and our house yeast strain - in an attempt to take our well established flavor profiles to new heights of depth, intrigue, and individuality. Paired with heavy doses of new age and classic American hops and a grist containing a careful dose of honey malt, Curiosity Seventy pours an exotic orange in the glass and presents with flavors and aromas of juicy tangerine, mango, orange creamsicle, dried apricot, and distinctive melon overtones. It has a dense body and an easy drinking appeal that is both familiar and foreign in a new and exhilarating way

Bottom of the can reads:
I drifted where the current chose
5/29/19
Opened on 6/17/19

Muddy and opaque white-haze within the straw golden coloration. Creamy and bubbly white foam head, short but strong. Lacey.

The nose is incredibly sweet with bright citrus fruits, tropicals: mango, kiwi, lime and sugared pineapple. White pepper and freshly crushed hop cones along with sweet, bready and dark fruity yeast combo effect brings it above and beyond.

The fruity, sweet and tropical punch style flavors might be the most complex, heady, deep and intricate I've experienced. Distinct fruits: mango, pineapple, starf ruit, cantelope...and beyond that! The English yeast might be adding a level of fruitiness that I've never had previously.

The malt seems to be like a soggy white bread, honey soaked. A laid-back, relaxed and smooth mouth feel makes it feel light, but full...dig?

Fruit flavor explosion! Nuclear style. I feel like this falls into an NEIPA style.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a teku glass.

Pours an opaque golden orange color with a finger of eggshell white head. The head hangs around for a bit, leaving a beautiful crown of lacing before settling into a thin sheet.

The aroma. Hnnnngh. Tons and tons of fresh berries, pineapple, melon, and orange cream. The back end is faintly earthy and spicy. Wonderfully balanced aroma.

The flavor brings quite a bit of apricot and fresh oranges, as well as plenty of mangoes, honeydew melon, and berries. The honey malt is present on the back before a wave of pine and earthy spice.

The feel is medium-full bodied with soft carbonation. Thick and chewy and creamy as hell. Also incredibly soft and drinkable. The alcohol is nigh undetectable.

Overall, what the hell. I literally cannot stop sucking Tree House's proverbial wang. They've got the Curiosity series on lockdown right now and I can't wait to see how it evolves their regular offerings. This one is absolutely one of the best I've had.

16oz can, dated 05.29.19, poured into a Tree House snifter glass. Enjoyed on 6.10.19, reviewed from Tasting Journal.

The beer pours a super hazy orange color, amber and honey hues with a foamy white head that has great retention and excellent soapy lacing. The aroma is excellent, crazy dank and super tropical and fruity, lots of mango and peach with a burst of valencia orange and pineapple, lightly floral and grassy with a soft pine character while sweet yeast and grains make their way out as well. The flavors are excellent, ultra juicy with tons of mango, orange, pineapple and peach with some more bitter grapefruit peel, sappy and resinous pine, green and raw grassy dank hop leaf, light hop spice with some floral character sitting over doughy pale malts and a lightly sweet yeastiness. The mouthfeel is very good, coating and creamy, luscious medium body that finishes so easily with just a light dryness.

Verdict: A crazy good IPA from Tree House. One of the best I've had from them, crazy expressive, just bursting with juiciness yet balanced with a nice green and dank profile that makes for a hell of an IPA.
