Notes / Commercial Description:
Super Treat is a riff on Treat utilizing even larger kettle and dry hop additions applied to a richer, denser base beer than Treat. It is intended to coax sweet hop candy flavors from a blend of citrus forward American hops paired with our house yeast. Saturated flavors of orange starburst, sweet tangerine, lychee, and unfiltered fresh squeezed orange juice play nicely with a gently carbonated body lending to a beer that is intensely enjoyable and eminently drinkable. Our house yeast provides juicy fruit gum and melon overtones throughout. It’s a Super Treat, indeed!

TREE HOUSE SUPER TREAT DIPA 7/11/19

Acquired at the brewery tonight.

a: Opaque gold with a 3/4 inch thick white head which receded to

s; Intense tropical and "catty" citrus.

t; Follows the nose with moderate intensity and hop bite over a hefty malt base. Dry finish with much lingering bitterness.

m; Near full, great body and carbonation tingle.

o; A "meaty" and "dank tropical citrus" DIPA with more substance to it that regular Treat. Great flavor, weighty yet refreshing with its ABV beautfully covered.. One of TH's top ten IMO.

Canned on 6/4. Poured to Glass on 6/6.
A: Looks like a Peach Juice. Thin clouds and disappeared quickly.
S: Tangelin, peach, pineapple in front.
T: First sip remained Fluffy, light creaminess. Then Mango, pineapple and full of tropical fruits notes. Hop bitterness is quite sure but not to much strong. Balance is enjoyable.
O: Quite unique balanced IIPA. A little bit too sticky and sweet for me.

This was way too sweet for an IPA.. seems like they were trying to cover up mistakes.

Hazy maize with a tall white head slowly settling in tiny air pockets to an uneven lumpy film leaving all kinds of Pollock lacing.

At first whiff out of the can I do get candy aromas of Smarties and maybe Starburst, but first taste is more cannabic and spicy than other Tree House brews, with even a detectable level of alcohol heat. It's mild though and the medium body still has a nice froth to it. The finish is cotton dry and brings out a little lychee and resinous triple sec with a touch of cracker.

L: Warm orange and honey hues with an ample foamy head
S: Candied oranges, tangerines, and mango
T: Bright dose of pineapple flavored gummy bears, navel oranges, fresh cut pineapple, and a sprig of pine/rosemary
F: Soft, lightly carbed, and crushable
O: A really enjoyable citrus-driven hoppy brew from TH. Kind of like a Julius derivative (except not with different hops like Alter Ego) that has a hoppier/piney bite and is very sweet. Nice brew that would pair well with a plate of fresh tropical fruit.

L - straw yellow haze. Glows like a flashlight under water. Orange green beer water. Decent head floof, but nothing terribly exciting.

S - label says orange starburst, but I'm getting the pink strawberry variety. A definite halloween candy sweetness. Kiwi, mango, grape, this is shaping up to be the Treat I wished OG Treat was. Fresh and invigorating. Great aromatic depth.

T - banana chips and freeze-dried mango slices. Sweet and saturated without being sugary. Strawberry banana smoothie. Tangerine and satsuma, pithy and hop-saturated in the typical extra kettle-hopped Tree House tradition. Fruity sherbet and clean, vibrant juiciness. Finishes with some lip-smacking hop residue and lingering bitterness that coats the whole mouth.

F - lush and creamy. Almost feels like there are oats in here, but that's probably the massive hop overload, filling in the gaps like your TV's motion interpolation setting. Ultra smooth with the perfect level of viscosity.

O - massive improvement over Treat. And I mean the house yeast Treat. OG Treat? **coughbrightcough** Not even close. Not particularly explosive in flavor, but the underlying sweetness is to die for. Sans sugar, this is fruit-city and hits all the right notes. This is the Treat I was looking for when it was first introduced.

From a 16oz can, dated 06/04/19. Served a cervoise.

Pours a milkily opaque orange-gold with two fingers of soft, fluffy suds. Retention is very good leaving a foamy cap and a silky curtain of lacing which forms thick, sticky rings as it drinks down.

Aroma is softy sweet and cake-like. Pineapple-orange juice and vanilla.

Taste is decidedly sweet with zero bitterness. Orange-vanilla birthday cake with lemon pastry cream filling, pineapple hard candies and marijuana. Sweet and juicy, dank and weedy.

Feel is somewhere beyond juicy into being dense and doughy. Medium-thick bodied but with ample, fine carbonation keeping it light and bright. A very slight comfortable warmth in the gullet.

Overall, another utterly ridiculous over-the-top NEDIPA from Tree House. Somehow gives the impression of being sweeter than it actually is but I’m still concerned about tooth decay.
