Peach TartPeach Tart
Notes: Peach Tart is a tart session beer constructed to be a refreshing, easy drinking summer beer with a zippy amount of acidity and a dry body. It is brewed with a significant amount of wheat in the grist bill and conditioned upon a judicious dose of peaches! After resting for several weeks in stainless it is imparted with a tight and spritzy carbonation. Peach tart features tongue pleasing acidity balanced by flavors of under ripe peaches, plain yogurt, lemon curd, and subtle funk. It finishes cleanly, eschewing bracing sourness, with hints of white wheat and cracker malt gracing the palate.

Thanks to rudzud
Light fizzy head, no lacing, crystal clear pale golden color

Nose super sweet peach, very juicy peach, candied peach jam, peach juice, light lactic acid lacto funk

Taste loads of peach, peach juice and jammy sweet peaches, candy sweetness, then big lacto creamy funk and mild lactic acid, light doughy creamy wheat, dry gritty finish, light acidity

Mouth is med bod, light carb, touch flemmy

Overall mixed, the peach was great, there is some doughy wheat but not much else, good acidity

Canned 08/09/19 “hello 6-pack of confidence”

A delightfully light, drinkable sour/tart ale. Obviously huge peach character with a yeasty, slightly funky feel and finish. Uber-carbonated and super refreshing. It’s a Berliner, not a Wild Ale or a Belgian sour, so I don’t understand why people expect something other than a filtered, fruity kettle sour that’s heavy on the summer flavors.

Picked up at the brewery and shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear golden hue with a thin white head that fades to leave no real lacing.

S - Big aromas of sweet peach candy, fresh peaches. There are tons of floral fragrant peaches, candy, jam, peach skin. Tons of stone fruit pits and a little bit of lactic tartness. Flashes of crackers and grains.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of fresh sweeter peaches. Good jammy notes, sour peach candies. Good lactic acid and creamy wheat.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, decent carb, however it's a bit flemmy.

O - Overall this was a solid enough tart wheat beer. Very nice peach notes here. Really enjoyable summer beer.

Purchased this from Treehouse on 8/10/19 and poured it that night. Unlike the previous reviewer I really do like sours. But this one was disappointing. My overall assessment of the taste and feel is that it is reminiscent of a flavored peach seltzer ... and then a beer. Or maybe in the reverse order. The point is that it totally lacks cohesion. It’s two separate tastes that never join. The peach flavor itself is quite candy-like and just refuses to fuse with the underlying lager-like base. I’ve had many fruited sours that I like much more. The description on the can would give the impression that all of this was intended and finely crafted to be the way that it is. But I don’t see how that can be, given the usual, impeccable balance and refinement of their more typical offerings. This one tastes like a bit of an experimental mistake. Don’t get me wrong - I do love you Treehouse. And you can almost do no wrong ... almost.

My first sour from Tree House. Pours clear, gold in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is big sweet peach and sour mix. More sour than I expected, high carbonation, light bodied. I really like this beer, my only complaint is the smell. Big, clean, sweet peach taste. This is what I would like more sours to be, plenty sour and plenty of fruit taste. Makes me want to try more Tree House sours.

Picked-up a single can at the Tree House Brewery in Charlton, MA for $3.80. My fifty third brew from these guys. Well, this is certainly peachy and tart, just not my cup of tea, which is why I only got one. Good for the style though, I just don't get the tart beer thing.
