Notes: We are pleased to welcome Summer to the Tree House family just in time for the season of sunshine, warm weather, beach trips, and hanging out in the backyard! Summer is a heavily oat saturated Double IPA brewed with sunny American hops including Amarillo, Citra, & Magnum. It pours a thick yellow color in the glass, with a billowing, robust head -- a real stunner visually! We taste and smell fresh squeezed orange juice, mango gummies, clementine sorbet, and citrus pith. Summer is a chewy IPA, leaving behind fruity hop oils on the tongue to entice the next sip. Drink it cold and drink it straight from the can for maximum hop enjoyment. This beer has us super excited for a summer of good beer, good friends, and new memories - enjoy!

Thanks, Jay!

Was lucky enough to get this and a bunch of other good stuff from a college friend. Thought going in that it would be my first Tree House beer, but apparently I’ve had three on Untappd (two at bottleshares, and one with Charlie). Damn. This would be my first full review of one. Back of the can’s description read, “We are pleased to welcome Summer to the Tree House family just in time for the season of sunshine, warm weather, beach trips, and hanging out in the backyard! Poured a hazy golden color with three fingers of rocky white head. Could see only one bubble stream coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class layered foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled orange blossom, orange creamsicle, orange sorbet, orange juice, Amarillo, peach, nectarine, Citra and citrus zest. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted a little better than the nose. In order got orange blossom, orange creamsicle, orange sorbet, orange juice, Amarillo, nectarine, peach, red grapefruit, Citra, citrus zest and lingering dank pine. (Taste - 4.00)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)

This was outstanding overall. Maybe not quite as fresh as I’d want, because I think this might be a little bit bitter. But really good. (Overall - 4.00)

Canned 7/27/21. Purchased 8/24/21 at Deerfield. Not super fresh.

L: Pours an opaque yellow orange. Short white head thins, but lacing sticks around.

S: Orange and pineapple aromas, but muted. A touch of mango.

T: Follows nose, but more pronounced. The citrus/tropical flavors blend in the middle. Finishes slightly and pleasantly bitter and dry. Alcohol well hidden.

F: Soft mouthfeel. Appropriate carbonation.

O: Well done, but not quite as exceptional as most Tree House DIPAs.

A: cloudy; medium gold in color; 1+ finger finely pored ivory head that receded to a thin cap; thick rings of lace;

S: pineapple first, then pineapple and orange, then tangerine;

T: pineapple and orange through the middle, then tangerine at the end; mild bitterness on the finish;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish; hides the ABV well;

O: not as soft or aromatic as many other Tree House beers, but still really good;

From a 16oz can dated 7/6/21 into a pint glass. Message on can bottom: "Daylight come and me wan' go home"

Pours an opaque light orangish yellow with about one and a half fingers of white head. Decent retention, great lacing.

Smells of major citrus. Oranges, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple. Oranges really dominate though.

Taste follows the nose-oranges, mango and maybe a bit of sherbet? A healthy dose of dank earthiness to round out the sip.

Soft smooth full-bodied mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Slight bitter, acidic aftertaste. REALLY easy to drink for 8.1% abv.

So Tree House didn't knock it out of the park with this one, but it was ripped to the gap off the wall for extra bases. An absolute pleasure to drink.

Poured from a can (06Jul2021) into a Tree House teku

L: pours a completely hazy, lightly glowing yellow orange (opaque, not creamy) with a huge slightly off-white head. Fades slowly, leaving chunky lacing after a couple minutes.

S: very nice tropical fruit aroma full of lighter, ripe fruit notes. First get a nice wave of juicy mango, fresh orange juice, and a bit of tangerine/clementine sweetness. Slightly sweet but not overly so, works well against a bit of citrusy bitterness. As it warms get a bit more of a gummy candy vibe to the fruit. Overall it’s fruit through and through, quite inviting

T: delivers the nose very well, would say those orange juice notes take over but the full suite of fruit is on display. Get a that nice and rich ripe mango, that mix of sweeter clementine/tangerine notes as well. Like on the nose, this more gummy candy note to the fruit comes out more as it’s warmed. There’s a very slight earthy bitterness toward the end, think it works really well against the sweeter flavors up front. Overall the fruit comes nicely in waves, dropping off in the middle and then returning in the medium+ finish

F: medium+ body, medium carbonation. Slightly drying, quite smooth but not overly full/creamy. Body bumped up nicely

O: a very solid DIPA from TH, wouldn’t say it stands out significantly vs. other offerings but delivers very nice orange juice/candied tropical fruit notes. Very drinkable, abv works well. Great beer

Canned 6/11

Soft overall, mango and sweet orange with scant malt balance. Dank and juicy overall with little hop bite and no alcohol burn at all. Thanks E!

Canned 5 weeks ago. This DIPA is about as middle-of-the-road as you can get with Tree House offerings: has the characteristic hazy orange appearance, the wonderfully soft aromas and flavors (mostly owing to that TH yeast strain), and a fluffy mouthfeel with slight burn on the back of the throat. The good news is that middle-of-the-road for Tree House is still quite good

85/100

poured into can glass yields a 1/2 a 1/2 inch foamy head that lends to soapy lacing. Color is kind of a glowing yellow/orange haze

aroma is tropical with a blend of sweet mango, orange and clementine

Taste is sweet with a bit of orange rind and mango. Some malt come through, little to no alcohol flavor.

It has a sticky full mouthfeel, low carbonation, smooth feel and finished a tick acidic with a lingering clementine rind taste.

Overall I loved it. Great aroma while being poured, nice taste and a smooth finish makes for a easy to drink refreshing beer. Another Tree House gem.

Pours a hazy light straw with a half finger of head. The nose has a healthy dose of citrus zest. The flavor starts mild but gets brighter and juicier as one moves farther down the can. The finish has plenty of pithy bitterness. The body is somewhat light considering the style.
