Notes: Simple Life is an imperial milk stout brewed with chocolate, marshmallows, graham crackers, and coffee to carefully emulate the flavor of S’mores! We taste and smell sweet chocolate marshmallows, milk chocolate, dusty cocoa powder, graham crackers, and a hint of roast to emulate the browned edge of a marshmallow. It is rich, decadent, and flavor saturated in a way that will make you smile throughout the whole glass. Simple Life is the ideal beer to share around the campfire this summer and pairs quite well with the real thing. Enjoy it with bare feet and warm toes!

Picked up at the brewery back in June.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a thick one finger mocha head that fades to leave light lacing and wisps.

S - Aromas of syrupy chocolate, dark chocolate but still syrupy. Good marshmallow notes and flashes of graham.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with tons of syrupy chocolate, big charred marshmallow as well. Flashes of good roasted malts. Good lighter graham notes. Finish is nicely milk.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, super creamy. No alcohol.

O - Overall this was a very solid milk stout. The chocolate and marshmallow is nice but the graham was awfully light.

Pours black with a good sweetness to it. Tastes like a very good sweet stout. Marshmellow, milk chocholate, cocoa, and graham crackers are a few of the different flavors.

Picked-up one can at the Tree House Brewery in Charlton for $8.55, my seventy seventh brew from these guys. Very nice stout from these guys. TH is known for their IPAs, but their stouts are great too, just a bit too $, & high ABV for me.

L - pours a used and abused motor oil brown with at least 10k miles on it. Dark, dull, cigar paper tan head.

S - peanut butter, burnt popcorn, and milk chocolate fudge. Hints of bakers chocolate with caramel drizzle. Bit of burnt coffee roast and lactose.

T - caramel is out in full force with a brown sugar sidekick. Chocolate pudding accents a bright, marshmallow base. Cream is the name of the game here. Full, suffocating flavor that isn't particularly potent, but still manages to be everywhere. Anybody who's eaten a marshmallow knows what I'm talking about. This is meant to be satisfying and filling without blowing your socks off flavor-wise. Heavy cream and hazelnut coffee. Finishes light and citrusy with mild bitter tingles.

F - feels like a mallow. Freshly toasted over burning embers, slowly oozing down the stick... consumed at the optimal time, just as the marshmallow is about to melt off into the burning abyss.

O - been waiting for a TH marshmallow beer to hit off-premise packaging. Nails the vast feel and flavor profile. S'mores-flavored expanding foam. Not a whole lot of different flavors, but does what it sets out to do.

Pours opaque, dark brown in color with minimal head. Taste is dark chocolate, marshmallow, and graham cracker. Heavy bodied, sweet, with moderate carbonation. Yet another fine entry in the imperial sweet stout series. Sweet but not overly so. In the upper half of the recent sweet stouts.
