Dear Washington is a wet-hopped American IPA brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and Cascade hops harvested from the fields of Washington and shipped directly to our brewery in less than sixteen hours. It is brewed in a way not typical of a wet hop beer, eschewing overly resinous, leafy hop character in favor of gentle, well-integrated hop notes and soft lupulin character. Dear Washington pours a glowing orange color in the glass and emits flavors and aromas of tangerine juice and grapefruit. A soft malt body provides heft, with minimal bitterness or leafy hop presence making it exceptionally pleasant to drink. In the words of Matty Blais on the packaging line, “it’s a glider”. Enjoy, and drink fresh!

This is an unusual, unhazy, IPA by Tree House, made using hops from the Pacific Northwest. The nose is reminiscent of a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, with quite a bit of caramel going on, implying a resinous and citrusy flavor. However the taste is a lot sweeter than one would expect with a very mild bitterness and a nearly clean finish. A tasty beer but the lack of bitterness is a drawback in my opinion.

Darker than expected, suggesting some portion of caramel malt.
Fresh, hoppy, green, and piney on the nose, complemented with a moderate dose of citrus expression.
Maltier than expected on the palate, with noticeable brown sugar, caramel, and honey sweetness. The hop triad of tropical fruit, citrus fruit, and pine are roughly equally balanced, with tropical perhaps standing out slightly more than the others.
It's a very good fresh/wet hop IPA, but it doesn't bring anything particularly new to the table that others weren't ten or more years ago.

No canning date, odd for Tree House
Alright, this actually sounds like a true attempt for Tree House doing a WCIPA, a wet hopped one at that. I somehow doubt it won’t have some sort of sweet juice to it, but I’m hoping it remains rather restrained because this sounds interesting for them. Let’s crack it open and find out
Pours a slightly cloudy amber gold with 3 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
Well I’ll be damned, this is straight up resinous hops in the nose. I’m picking up on aromas of pine sap, grapefruit zest, bready malt, resinous hops, dank weed, peppercorn, and light orange
It doesn’t lean quite as bitter in taste but it’s still better than I was expecting. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting orange zest, bready malt, leafy hops, toffee, mango juice, and light peppercorn. The swallow brings notes of grapefruit zest, crackery malt, peppery hops, light weed, tangerine, and a touch of caramel
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a surprisingly soft beer. Finishes neutral with a balanced bitterness
Well it’s not the best example of the style, but it’s damn good. Nice to have this take on the style from Tree House

Pours a clear golden orange color with a white head that laces the glass nicely. The nose is primarily tangerine and grapefruit, with a bit of biscuity malt.
Tangerine and grapefruit flavors dominate the taste, with a nice biscuity malt flavor for balance. The mouthfeel is medium and very dry, in the WCIPA style, which is not not what you think of when referencing Tree House.
This is bright, flavorful, and exceptionally well executed. I could drink gallons of this.

Color is a dirty golden orange that I don't love. This is counteracted by loads of gorgeous foamy off-white colored head with excellent retention and lacing. The Citra & Mosaic hops are both present on the nose but I lack the sophistication to identify the Cascade. Smells like it will be piney / resinous. On the tongue that only ends up being partially the case, Less bitter than I expected with a little fuller mouthfeel (not atypical for TH beers). Solid APA. Not my favorite beer style, but this is well done.

This beer pours a murky, hazy, dank looking dark golden pour. The head is off white, 3 finger, frothy/fluffy , and long lasting. There's some lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
Tropical hop aroma. Mango, pineapple, grapefruit.
The flavor is juicy. Pineapple, mango, grapefruit. The hops do build and the flavor has a bitterness on the backside.
The body is soft as hell. Juicy and full.
Delicious is the best word I can use to describe this.

Drank it 11/3. Thought I would try it. Glad I did. Interesting as kind of a west coast style brew. Not one of TH better beers but most certainly drinkable. But, to be honest, I wouldn’t likely buy it again with so many TH beers I have had and like better.I got a Fear Yakima as well but haven’t tried it yet. Both purchased 10/20/22

Consumed 1/19/22
Medium orange, almost clear, pours with a medium white head, fades to a wispy cap, small collar
Unexpectedly restrained, very unlike a "typical" Tree House pale ale, soft citrus aromas, orange, lemon, lemon-lime, touches of ruby red grapefruit, slight touches of pine, resin, hop cones, pale malt base, light sweetness, lingering lemon-lime, like unsweetened Sprite
Medium body, more crisp than smooth, medium carbonation
For better or for worse, this is very unusual compared to just about every Tree House IPA I have had (and I have had... a lot). I do not think I have ever had a wet-hopped beer like this. I realize it is intentionally gentle, but I would have preferred the more "overly resinous, leafy hop character" typical for this style.

16oz can dated 12/1/21.
Pours clear gold with a moderate head and lacing. Mildly hoppy in the nose with barely a trace of wet-hopped essence. Faintly green or chlorophyll -like. Medium bodied with a crisp mouthfeel. West coast citrus on the palate with light malt and bitterness. Finishes dry with fading grapefruit and peach.
