Notes:
Curiosity Eighty One is a fresh exploration of our house yeast, aiming to mix exotic hops with our familiar yeast profile in a way that integrates seamlessly with the beer. With our house yeast character controlled through careful fermentation management, a proprietary hop blend featuring varieties from three continents are able to shine. The result is a distinctly juicy rendition, with notes of fruit loops, tropical fruit leather, orange gummies, and tropicana all presently clearly and brightly in this gorgeous interpretation of double IPA - Enjoy!

Thanks to rudzud for this one, canned 11/08/19
Pours a large foamy creamy rich head with great retention and soapy lacing, very hazy cloudy solid orange color
nose brings citrus and some tropical as usual, loads of mango, like mango sorbet, papaya, tangerine, some pithy mineral almost chalky but not quite, a bit of peachy and apricot stone fruit, orange cream, smooth creamy flaked malts or oats, just a flash of alcohol
Taste rich creamy base malt, lots of flaked proteins and maybe oats again, with a little mineral slight chalky note this time, loads of citrus again, orange creamscicle and orange candy, tangerine, some tropical mango papaya but not much, mild peachy stone fruit again, but getting more of an apricot as it warms, a touch of bitterness and some grapefruit pith, drier finish with a bit more bitterness but still lighter, mild alcohol late
Mouth is med to fuller bod, creamy soft and juicy, medium creamy carb with smaller bubbles, and a light warming alcohol
Overall not bad, if this wasn't Tree House it might be a very well done DNEIPA but being Tree House it was a fun experiment that seems to land somewhere in the middle of their Curiosities.

16 oz. can.
Canned 11/08/19.
Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a cloudy/murky golden body with some lacing. Nose of citrus, slight pine, and slight tropical fruit. As it warms there is a bit of currant on the nose as well. Taste of citrus (orange, grapefruit), slight tropical fruit (mango), and very slight pine resin towards the finish of citrus pith. Nice feel and overall, a fairly complex and solid DIPA and definitely worth the effort. Cheers to Charlton! (and Rob!)

Picked up some of these at the brewery.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy golden orange hue with a thick two finger head that faded slowly to leave a thick one finger blanket.
S - Aromas of juicy orange flesh and zest, some slight bitterness on the back end. Rather light stone fruit; not getting much in the way for tropical aromas at all.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with pleasant juicy oranges. Very orange juice like with increased bitterness, flashes of the stone fruit with some really, really subtle lingering tropical notes.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little crisp, doesn't quite have the fluffiness that comes with a Tree House DIPA though.
O - Overall this was a solid enough DIPA, however, there's nothing that really wows. I have a suspicion that this beer, at the date of this review, is simply too 'green' still. Certainly worth waiting before cracking anymore cans of this...unless you like your hoppy beers to have that pulpy 'green' hope flavour instead of the actual flavours and aromas the hops should have.

Pours hazy, yellow gold in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is pineapple juice, pine, and grapefruit. Sweetish start with a distinctly bitter finish, medium bodied, high carbonation. Not a bad beer, but ranks somewhere in the lower middle of the curiosities I have tried. No taste totally stands out in this one. Worth a try still.
