Curiosity Eighty TwoCuriosity Eighty Two
Notes: The Curiosity series is critically important to our evolution as craftspeople; it enables us to explore process variables well outside the box of day to day brewing without affecting the quality and consistency of our core offerings. Without it, we would stagnate and fail to push forward. To that end, we are pleased to offer you Curiosity Eight Two for your enjoyment. Curiosity Eight Two explores the regionally-specific flavor contributions of our favorite hops offerings, and welcomes a number of new-to-us unnamed experimental varieties into the mix. The resulting beer has layers of hop complexity; notably fragrant notes of apricot, tangy citrus, candied papaya, and sugary pineapple emanate from the glass in this truly individual offering. Enjoy!

Picked up at the brewery and shared with JLindros.

A -Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy pale golden orange hue with a thin white head that fades to leave a light halo and thin wisps.

S - Aromas of almost pithy green hops and flashes of citrus peel and zest, little bit of juicy oranges.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice almost spicy hops, flashes of pithy green hops, decent citrus notes and juicy oils.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, alcohol hidden welll.

O - Overall this was a solid enough dipa with rather nice citrus notes, however, it's rather one trick pony. Rather unfortunate.

a: hazy dark burnt orange with a vibrant copper note., fizzy 1.5 finger rocky off-white head

s: huge note of pineapple and apricot upfront. blood orange, clementines, mango, and papaya follow. sweet lemon/citrus, and a hint of creamsicle. bready doughy cracker malt in here with a hint of candi sweetness. tangy citrus and smooth creamsicle close out the aroma. real nice aroma

t: ripe apricot, pineapple, sweet grapefruit, and creamsicle upfront. a touch more tangy orange, and sweet clementines behind that. strawberry/pink starburst in here as well. some candied, dried apricot and mango as well. little bit of dough and sweet earthy grass close it out

m: fluffy, medium mouthfeel with lowish carbonation

o: awesome Imperial IPA. great tropical fruit notes, with a nick kick of sweetness. hop combo works very well, and the flavors harmonize from one to the next. no taste of the 8% either. great beer

Picked-up two cans at the Tree House Brewery in Charlton on Tuesday for $5.05 / can, canned on date of 11/26. My sixty ninth brew reviewed from these guys. I liked this better than 83, don't think that it warrants the price point of the TH elites.

Pours hazy orange tan in color with one inch head. Taste is peach, candied tangerines, light grapefruit. Medium bodied, medium low carbonation, bitter. Solid but in the lower half of Curiosities. Doesn't jump like other Tree House beers.

TREE HOUSE CURIOSITY 82 DIPA 11/26/19

Acquired at the brewery today. No visible canning date, which is unusual for Tree House, but likely canned within the past week.

Poured from the 16 oz. can into a Lawson's willi.

a: Opaque greenish orange with a half inch thick white head which receded to thin even surface foam and dense lacing.

s; Mild tropical fruit leaning to pineapple.

t; Mild tropical fruit over a substantial malt base, dry finish with hop bitterness lingering.

m; Medium, good body and lots of carbonation tingle.

o; A bit different flavor from TH, NEIPA with a milder tendency, its 8% ABV well covered nonetheless.

Thanks to rudzud
Pours a light foamy creamy head with lower retention, nice soapy lacing, super cloudy hazy bright orange

Nose typical tree house with loads of citrus ad orange cream, bright orange and tangerine, a little pithy, light doughy creamy base malt, flaked malts, little green as well

Taste again citrus, orange cream, tangerine, very one note and not very complex, pithy doughy malt again, flaked malts, soft juicy, low bitterness, drier finish, touch of green hop character,

Mouth is med bod but very juicy creamy like, medium carb, no real alcohol

Overall eh, very single note, boring for a Tree House, if it was another brewery maybe better notes but this is Tree House so meh
