Notes: Joining our core rotational offerings here at Tree House, we are pleased to offer Blue for your enjoyment today! Brewed with pale and dextrin malts, a large dose of flaked oats, our House yeast, and repeated doses of Mosaic hops in both the kettle and dry hop, Blue carries distinctive flavors and aromas of blueberry jam, mixed berries, raspberry puree, tropical fruit, and guava - the blueberry notes are especially intriguing! Blue finishes with a firm but thirst-quenching citric bitterness that makes your mouth water for the next sip. It is everything we enjoy and seek to put forth in a beer - unique flavor, the individual character of hand-selected hops, and sky-high drinkability. Enjoy!

Poured into a Tree House pint glass.

L: Typical Tree House haze, with color slightly on the lighter side, like a cross between pineapple and orange juice. Solid inch of head and decent lacing.

S: I can detect the faint blueberry aroma they hint at bring coaxed out of the hops, though very subtle.

T: For Tree House NEIPAs, it is more on the dry hoppy side and not too sweet. The more I drink, the more the blueberry notes start to linger, though they don’t jump out at me during the sips.

F: Has the slightly creamier mouthfeel of their other oat flaked IPAs. A bit of peppery hop spice too, (and not from the bottom of the can, which is where it is typically expected).

O: Nothing to complain about. Tree House has set a high bar for themselves so it can be tough for any new beers to stand out. This beer doesn’t shatter any molds but adds yet another slight twist on their signature NE IPAs. Would definitely drink again, and will be curious to see what my second impressions are. Another world class level offering, even if it doesn’t jump to the top of the list for me.

Blue pours as a hazy yellowish orange color with a nice white head on top that leaves a sticking lacing on the glass from start to finish. The smell of the beer has a soft yet very pleasant hop aroma to it. The taste is similar to the nose, I wish I could have gotten more of the blueberry notes they described though. The feel is medium bodied, very smooth and refreshing. Overall a solid addition to Tree House's lineup of NEIPA's.

Thanks to rudzud
Pours a medium foamy pillowy head with moderate retention, good soapy lacing, some legs, cloudy hazy even murky apricot orange color

Nose brings some dank musty pine, little tropical fruit and some citrus, no berries at all, a little oniony even, creamy flakey oats

TAste brings juicy citrus, tangerine, orange marmalade, lots of creamy oats and maybe flaked wheat, more dank piney mosaic as well, pithy, a bit flowery, and a touch chalky, some bitterness as well, earthy spicy too, a dank spicy lingering bitterness

MOuth is med bod, creamy, fair creamy carb, touch of alcohol

Overall this was not that great, too much dank mosaic that didn't go well, base beer was a bit chalky even, just not good

Picked up at the brewery and shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy golden hue with a thick one finger white head that fades to leave a thin blanket and lightly lacing.

S - Aromas of very dank Mosaic hops, flashes of tangerine and peasant almost orange jam. Creamy oats. Absolutely no berries whatsoever on the aroma. Not even generic berries,

T - Taste is similar to the nose with tons of dank Mosaic hops, orange juice, flashes of pithy orange. Pleasant creamy oats and flavour but still not getting any berries whatsoever. There is some lingering sweet orange marmalade on the finish that is pleasant.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, creamy, little thick thanks to the oats.

O - Overall this was an incredibly underwhelming beer. No berry notes whatsoever, just drinks like Bright but with some oats and different yeasr.

Pours cloudy orange-gold color with a 3 finger silky head that leaves great, intricate lacing and retains very well. The nose is strong with grapefruit notes over a solid, semi-ripe orange base. This is not a sweet flavor, rather opting for a more fruit pith flavor with bitterness dominating over the subtle citrus and nectarine flavors. I could be convinced of some melon notes in the finish as well - I like that. Feel is very soft and creamy, not much burn and a moderate bitterness that comes through more closer to the finish.

This is a tasty NEIPA that diverges from the common TH expression of rich, sweet citrus. It mimics a more fresh feel rather than sticky sweet.

Big treehouse fan but the move to Charlton has really created many misses. Nothing wrong but nothing special. A true disappointment. They need someone with skill to select their hops. All Mosaic? You’d never know it. Lackluster aroma and taste-and they are adding this beer to the regular rotation? Sorry but not worthy.

Picked-up two cans at the Tree House Brewery for $4.05. My eighty second brew from these guys. This was a miss for me. Not sure if it is the oats, but the taste is a bit off.
