Futurism is our honey porter. Brewed with a complex array of chocolate, roasted, honey, and caramel malts, it pours a beautiful black color in the glass with a dense head. A large addition of wildflower honey contributes another layer of sweet complexity to Futurism, with tasting notes of dark chocolate, fudge, sweet honeycomb, and reeses candies. With complex flavor and pleasant drinkability, Futurism embodies the Tree House ideal beautifully. Enjoy!

16 oz. can. Black with a big mocha head. A little murky brown. Smells of chocolate malt, some bright fruitiness, and honey. Tastes of roasted malt, bright and slightly sharp sweetness. Cola like back end. Pretty sweet. Honey lingers in the back end. Medium heavy. It's quite sweet and has a sharpness that seems misplaced in a beer like this. Oh and it's slow to drink.

L - loving the label. Pours dark brown with the mildest magenta hue right up around the edges. Looks a bit like sarsparilla soda. Not much head, but what is there looks like toasted bananas. A tiny archipelago is left in the middle with streaks of bubbles that almost look like cracks with an overhead light. Thin beads of head slowly buzz out toward the outer ring from beneath the surface. Never seen anything like this. Leaves legs like you wouldn't believe. Coats the glass so heavily, it could be an eyeglass prescription.
S - sweet up front with slight wildflower honey, then turns raw af. Dark chocolate brownies, roasted barley, spent coffee grounds, and a woodsy, oaky, nutty, earthy, primal roastiness. Natural.
T - follows through on this raw roastiness. Feels fresh and hollow; all sweetness is dried up with a massive dose of baker's chocolate and roasted coffee. Earthy, herbal honey, none of that processed sweetened crap. It is subtle though. Walnuts and almonds contribute to these flavors you'd find in the wilderness. Finishes with a bit of metal and tangy, acrid bitterness.
F - medium feel, nothing too creamy or velvety by TH standards. Still elegantly executed with enough heft to back up the raw flavors.
O - can I say it again? Raw. Earthy and back to our roots, despite the name. Doesn't feature too many dimensions, but does the porter style a service with a slight honey twist.

L: dark brown/black; nice, white head that lingers. The head leaves great lacing providing an exceptional view
S: Excellent. Not too sweet with slight coffee and malt bringing the glass to the nose
T: This is an excellent porter. Slight honey and coffee notes come to the forefront. Very nice
F: Thinner than a stout but still has a nice feel.
O: agree with hylinski about previous reviews. This is an outstanding porter.

Another well executed dark beer from Tree House. Don't understand what the sketchy reviews were about. This is a porter not a stout. When it comes to adding flavors, success is all about being subtle - and the honey in this Porter is perfectly subtle.
I don't want a dessert porter... And this isn't one.
Really delicious.

Very nice honey porter from Tree House. 2/28/20 date printed on can. Pours a darker rusty brown color with some fluffy off-white head and minimal scant lingering lacing. Smells of nice malt, toasted nuts, caramel, vanilla, medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, a little bread. Taste follows the nose, good balance, flavors opened up a little as the beer warmed. Higher ABV was well hidden. Smooth sticky mouthfeel, good carbonation. Very enjoyable.
