World-Class
Notes: Brilliant is a Double IPA featuring a fruit-forward blend of American hops and conditioned upon heaps of Guava puree. The fruit in the can is fully fermented, leaving behind the juicy, tropical essence of the fruit while maintaining a punch of fruit American hops. This beer is a damn treat.

I think this is the first time I’ve had a fruited IPA. I first thought, why and would the guava overwhelm? Yes. And yes. Drinks easily, color and aroma is fantastic, 1-1/2 finger head, lacy foam, what your expect from pros. Taste has a bit of an edge, is it citrus or piney? I’m already half way thru this can so I don’t know.

Sweet, tropical fruity hoppy, sweet malty, and mango stonefruit nose on this one! Taste follows with a malty, tropical fruity, and tropical hoppy bitter finish. This is more medium-bodied than other Tree House dipas I have had. This is good stuff!

A: Pours a hazy yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a decent cap that leaves good lacing

S: Lots of guava up front along with some citrus and tropical fruit. Quite guava-forward

T: Follows the nose. Guava bursts out of the gate, followed by the citrus and tropical fruit. Sweetness of the guava balances any bitterness. Finishes with lingering guava and citrus

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy

O: A very good fruited DIPA that does a great job balancing the hops and guava purée. Super easy to drink. Worth checking out

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Tree House Brewery in Charlton for about twenty one dollars. My one hundred and forty sixth brew from these guys. Very good

Canned 9/21/20, tasted 11/10/20. Probably my favorite of Tree House's line of "fruited" beers, although I haven't tried all of them yet. You could knock this beer for basically being a can of alcoholic guava nectar. But it's damned delicious. Super smooth mouthfeel, amazingly potent fruity aroma, and guava-rich flavor. If you're looking for a West Coast IPA with lots of resinous bite to it, this beer is NOT it, but what it does, it does extremely well.

The guava works really well with their base yeast Tree House taste.

Poured from can dated 9/29/20 purchased at the source.

pours hazy orange with a 1 inch soapy head into a can glass.

Aroma is strong guava, citrus, tropical

Taste is fermented guava jam some citrus and a tropical sweetness.

Mouthfeel is sticky smooth, low carbonation, full and chewy. Finishes slightly sweet with a slight citrus rind bite

Over all this is a tasty easy drinking DIPA it hide the 8.2 abv well.
