BEER INFO

Brewed by:
Tree House Brewing Company

Style: American Pale Ale (APA)

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.60%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
An extremely liberally hopped APA. Tornado was crafted during the unfortunate events surrounding the June 1st, 2011 Brimfield Tornado. We created the beer in honor of the circumstances as we experienced them and luckily escaped the path by 1/2 mile. Tornado is loaded with notes of pine, tropical fruit, and citrus. At 5.6% alcohol, it's super refreshing.

Canned 5/26/17; drank 6/1/17 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dark orange appearance; champagne bubbles throughout.

A rough pour yielded a big off-white head; thick lace.

Banana, caramel & orange citrus notes in the nose.

Soft, medium mouthfeel.

Orange citrus & mild caramel flavors up front; banana & faint dry wheat notes on the finish.

A pleasant APA; kind of a diet Tree House, which can be a good thing in the right context (read: a hot summer day).

American pale ale, yes, but its Treehouse, so its piney, citrusy, tropical deliciousness

I just don't get this beer.

If you like a watered down Julius without the juicy smell and taste with a nice bitter almost metallic aftertaste ... have I got the beer for you. This was one of the few beers that I haven't tried and tbh ... I could do without it. Maybe this beer needs a few weeks on it but fresh it was ... not good, dare I say one of the worst from TH. If there is no taste, smell, or any distinguishing characteristics then what do you have? Tornado.

Is my pallet this bad? Did I get a bad can? This beer is making me think that my absence from drinking is warranted. At this point I would question people who rate this 4 or higher. I love TH and this beer is rated low for a reason and should be lower IMO.

Pass on all levels or trade immediately if possible.
