Play day not work day. Just what the doctor ordered, quite literally. A little B.T.’s Smokehouse pre-game action and we’re off to the races I will most certainly lose. Charlton; 4th location of the original house bounce around before the spin offs started popping up. Yeah, this one’s a little roomier and a whole lot NOT like the ‘2 beers only’ shed on Damien’s property in Brimfield…

Was here a few times in the ‘wait in the log ass line wrapping the parking lot, get in, get your cans and go’, show. But someone’s been busy during the pandemic ‘cause it’s now a loooooong open space. This whole area here (me, pointing), used to hide behind a wall where cases were stacked when you came for cans. The room was a fraction of its size last time I was here, and goddamn, I had never seen the bar off the entrance open before and now there are two of them, both pouring.

Glossy black concrete floors, upright pillars, & corrugated ceiling with rows of drop lamps. Plank wall inners, panel sliding door wall outers, and a sunken brewery running the length on the far side of the room. Holiday light lined framed pillar & rafter trellis-like set up just off the main bar, and a bathroom island with a mural piece in gray scale. Ductwork above, and alt drop single bulbs over both bars. Light décor, an old ‘snowmobile sales’ sign, mounted guitars, etc. Merch area on the front wall off the entrance, event space to the rear with additional seating, and can sales at the end of the end.

Off the entrance, a ‘C’ shaped copper topped ‘Classics’ bar, horizontal plank base with logo pieces, and seating for exactly none (get your beer, then stand clear). Mural piece on the barback wall, and growler shelving to both sides. Bar island behind the bar; 2 dozen taps on the front side; a dozen on the back side (nitros on the ends and 10 LUKR’s in between, and a 4 LUKR handle tower off to the side. I have never seen so much LUKR love.

And down towards the other end of the room, the larger rectangular copper topped ‘Main’ bar with lit under glow action, wide panel base, & wood foot box. A pair of barbell towers on the bar island, each holding a dozen taps on each side & Nitros on the ends. Treehouse logo lit pieces on the backside with plants potted. The bar feeds from the inside and on the opposite through windowage from the outside, weather permitting.

Rows of really long picnic tables horizontal & vertical, this way and that, and then a row of a dozen 4 seat hightops, plus cushy chair set ups, and Adirondack chairs here & there. Some more picnics in the front corner and a 20-seat bar counter looking down over the brewery.

They've got like 70something beers up. If you can’t find something to drink here, you should probably definitely just go sit quietly in the car. 39 beers up on the Main bar and 32 beers up on the classic bar. Pours in set 8oz, 10oz, 12oz, 16oz, & 18oz depending on the beer; the smaller the pour, the bigger the beer. So you know, the Classics bar & Main bar pour different beers. The Classic bar pours beautiful Lagers and traditional styles from a good neighborhood, and the Main bar is where mostly stupidface hazy IPAs and big Stouts live. We were just window shopping the Main Bar because really I don't want to shit to do with Main bar. I'll be over in Classicbarville if you're looking for me.

3 beer Tuesday today, hooray! Pro tip: do shortys to try more things (you can do that with the larger sized beers). I went Brisk, Oak conditioned Marzen, 5.3%, on LUKR, absolutely yummy, dry hopped with fuck yeah; At Ease, Oak conditioned Altbier, on LUKR, 5.4%, lovely; Idle Mind, Vienna Lager, on LUKR, 5%, no slouch; Ma, American Amber Ale, 6.8%, quite pleasant.

Outside pavilion with a pair of badass fireplaces on one end, stone. And the pizza oven on the other end being shuffled around in impending rain. Adirondack chairs across the lawn and up on the hill and beyond; walkabout trails and amazing landscape. Lest I forget to mention the Koi pond off the entrance. The space is just amazing, someone put a lot of love into it. And a vintage Jeep Grand Wagoneer on the hill giving me the good feels; I love that damn car. Also, the tunes were excellent. Doc & I set up on the hill and took it all in. It was a good day.

Revisited a month or two later with Ben and as B.T.’s wasn’t open, I saw see a parking lot gourmet grilled goddamn cheese in my future from the Say Cheese truck. I scored us a meatball & a Caprese and we split halfsies. Both were excellent.

Beer? Yeah. I went Nomad, Czech Dark Lager, 4.8%, actually fire; Bear, American Brown Ale, 6.4%, deep, rich, malt forward, love, and never in cans when I’m here as punishment for all the bad shit I've done; Raven, Black IPA, 7%, roast & hops, the yum is prominent here; Old Man, ESB, 5.4%, heaven in a big old 18oz glass, fuuuuuuuck.

Chill Steely Dan Monday with a bit of sun coming through at that front corner table. I do dig it here.

Definitely one of the best brewery experiences, a Disneyworld for beer lovers. Its big with plenty of serving areas and varied spots to hang Big advise, go early, lines form quick and this place gets packed. Ample take-out & operations sd to the experience. Did find the ned to orde via phone a bit of a hassle and took a big away from experience. TH could up the merchandise breadth and options. If u get in the area, just go..this is world class place.

This is the type of place some people dream about. Huge outdoor area with lots of places to sit alone or in groups. Two big bars. Lots of indoor space. So chill they have to put salt down every day. A must visit brewery location.

Flagship spot that's been here for a few years. I think they've finally got their system down now to be able to accommodate the large numbers of patrons. There is a line for pretty much everything, but it's nowhere near as long as it used to be. There is a 2 drink maximum on site from the bar. All purchases have to be made online including on-site consumption. The selection is enormous, so much so that they offer mix cases as a way for someone to walk away trying a large majority of what they offer. The vibe is kind of like an Adult Chuck-E-Cheese meets a beer fest. There's large groups of people that meet here for events and long lines for the restrooms, beer, and merch. I saw 2 birthday parties the other day and I can't tell if they were for an adult, someone's child, or the family dog, or a combination. The quality of the beer is top-notch, they do everything well, especially their Stouts and New England IPA's.

stopped by to pick up some cans to take home and drink a few beers on-site and eat lunch from a food truck. this place is sprawling - tons of seats outside in the lawn/patio/woods area, plus a covered pavilion, and a ton of indoor seating as well. two bars - a "classics" bar and then the main bar serving the IPAs, stouts, etc. The digital ordering system for cans and on-site drinks works well, but just have to wait in line for as long as how crowded the place is.

Reviewing the Deerfield location.

Wow! Like Disneyland or something. A sprawling, well-thought-out facility with everything you could possibly need or want. The way the tasting room aspect of it is set up took me aback at first cause I wasn't sure what to expect but was well planned and I see why it would be super useful for them (and the surrounding community) in not letting everybody get absolutely shit-canned. To get down to it, I would say: location--ok, set-up--awesome, beer--stupendous, food--no idea, package--otherwordly. Just a perfect (or as near as possible) setup in almost every aspect.

Visited on May 19, 2022, with my wife. We were immediately greeted by an employee and welcomed in. He also gave us a 1 sentence overview of the difference areas. This was nicely finished inside a large, building, with a good selection of beers on sale from taps. The environment is casual with various seating options inside as well as outside. Inside there was 2 bars with taps, and a various seating areas. There were various areas to sit outside, but it was raining when we were there, so we only visited the inside. Brew barrels are adjacent to the taproom and clearly visible. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Huge variety of beer for sale, with two sets of taps for many different beers on tap (I did not count the number). There were also many people visiting to buy beer to go. They have a very fast group of employees filling orders. Note that all orders must be made online and you cannot play an order with the cashier. I bought a couple stouts and 4 different IPAs.

We did not try any food, so cannot comment on that.

The facility is large size and modern, with the outside areas nicely integrated. It was obvious that the owners spent a lot of money to build out the facility. I was surprised at how many people were there on a Thursday lunchtime, and the large parking lot was half full. About half of the people were just buying beer to go.

This is a great place. Nice vibe, good service, and great beer. I live 4 hours away, but will stop by on my next visit to MA.

Really nice, large space with indoor and outdoor seating options. Went on a Thursday morning, so it wasn’t busy at all. The upside was ease of getting drinks. The downside was a lack of vibe. Online ticket ordering was a bit cumbersome, but worked fine on a non-busy day. Lots of picnic benches inside and out, along with single chairs outside and a few high tables inside. Beer quality and selection is awesome. But they only let you order three drinks, which seems one or two beers shy of ideal on a non-busy day. And no flights. A couple food trucks were setting up, but not really a place to go for food per se. Servers were engaging and kind. But the cue system made it hard to ask any meaningful questions about what to try given the limited knowledge of this outsider and lack of samples. Overall seems an exceptional place to stock up in cans and to try some world class standards and rare variants.

So the new Treehouse in Charlton is a huge upgrade, but i dont really stick around. I love that you can come on a Saturday afternoon, get a HUGE variety of cans that are truly amazing with almost no wait, this is so well done its incredible. The overall scene though is a bit much for me with lots of families and long lines for drafts. So i love it, but i dont really hang out here

In between towns. Big, new and imposing building, on a hillside. The parking lot is large and there are employees ferrying customers to their vehicles, with golf carts, with multiple flats of 16 ounce cans, to be deposited into waiting coolers in the back of the customer's vehicles. This place, like Hill Farmstead, is clearly a beer pilgrimage destination! On the walkway to the entrance, an employee at a podium, finds out if you are for tap beer only, packaged beer only or both. If you are getting only packaged beer, you are directed to the far entrance, and you have to order, then pay for you beer to go, first, then wait in that area, until they call your name and it's all loaded into cardboard flat(s). They put a music festival type wrist band on me and made a mark with a felt pen mark on it, since I was doing both options. First, it's to the back of a fairly long line, for some fresh at the brewery, draft beer. It's good that there is at least some length to the line, as you have to log to their site or application, on your smart phone and peruse the current tap menu and purchase electronic drink tickets. No tasting flights and beer pours are put into translucent plastic cups. Unless the weather or temperature are not amenable, most everyone goes outside and for good reason, the open window wall is where you are at the tap bar. At the tap bar, they have at least 10 of their beers available on tap. For instance, I got a Julius, which is one of their main beers, but it had fresh peaches in it and was available there, on tap, it was a winner. There are many picnic tables under a carport style roof. Next to those tables are many chairs, spread around via concrete paths, meandering through an ornamental garden. Very well organized and it could have been chaotic due to the amount of patrons.

Great spot but its time to ditch the covid protocol and get back to business as usual.

Merch is online only. World-class IPAs served in dumb plastic cups. And, disjointed order-online-wear-a-bracelet ordering process.

Just get back to being a brewery serving great beer.

Corona may have been a good thing for Tree House from a customer perspective. Even when I am in my car waiting I can multi-task and do work whereas when I was standing in line it was very hard to do. Shorter waits in my car and if they can get the people process more efficient when it opens up it would only make the experience more stellar.

Man, thoroughly unimpressed with TH! Such amazing beers but the service is very rough. I know they have a ton of people coming through but not very personable and employees make you feel as if you are burdening them. Great IPA and stout selection but if you want something outside of those this isn’t the place for you.
