from a bottle to a beer tulip
look; pale amber bronze, 1/2" off white fluffy head that leaves a thin covering and moderate lacing
smell; dirt, pine and floral hops, malt and floral hops conspire to finish with a glazed doughnut sweetness
taste; juicy fruity balanced with earthy dirty, sweet malt is not prevalent but present, sugared grapefruit finish
feel; wet, moderate carbonation, medium/full bodied, a little pucker to the finish but well balanced
overall; juicy well rounded, something dirty and guttural about this but in a way that makes it more interesting

A beautiful looking copper colored, laced up IPA. Awesome floral notes that don't quite translate to the taste. More pine and grass than citrus. It's well balanced but not quite what the nose suggests. Medium feel and carb. Overall a nice classic tasting IPA that's slightly bitter and features more malts and pine than stone fruit.

A- Can into a chalice with a cloudy golden orange body and a thick creamy white cap. The head has good retention and eventually falls to a small frothy ring and a wide pillow in the middle of the brew. Several large sheets of lacing stick around the glass.

S- Hops up front with a Cascade sorta feel as citrus like lemon and orange oily zest is up front with other floral, herbal and piney hop tones beyond that. A touch of caramel malty sweetness, cereal grains and bread beneath the hops.

T- Bitter citrus and pine resin hops come in strong and sharp with orange and to a lesser extent grapefruit coming to mind. Herbal, floral, grassy and earthy hops come to mind as well. A fair amount of malts make their presence known but the interference with the hops is minimal as hints of cereal, biscuit, caramel and toast come out.

MF- Overall the body is of a medium thickness and the texture feels foamy and a bit creamy; not chewy however. Moderately high carbonation level and a finish of sharp bitterness. Comes off as a bit thin with the texture presented.

Bitter orange and grapefruit hops lead the way with pine right behind them. Beneath this is a base of slightly sweet but not disruptive grains. Well balanced but lacks distinction in the most competitive style out there.

Poured from a 16.9oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep golden brown color with a short off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains earthy hops, citrus and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out sweet with a strong earthy hops bitterness that is followed by sweet flavors of caramel and citrus. The malt character is hearty and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly bready.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a solid IPA to drink for a while.

Great copper color and lasting white head. Earthy pine scent. Bitter pine taste. Medium light body with medium carbonation. Beer is ok but I wouldn't get it again.

Tap at Amesbury Alehouse

Light creamy head fades at med pace nice lacing hazy coppery amber color.

Nose nice hops warrior and centennial like with spicy earthy hops, light malty sweetness caramel, a bit of floral spicy hops with a little pine.

Taste east coast style but nice, lots of earthy hops, little grassy and spicy, bit of pine and citrus. The hops are fairly bitter with a big earthy quality and distinct warrior hop taste. Light malty caramel sweetness to balance. Finish is fairly dry nice spicy earthy hop lingering for a while.

Mouth is med bod, decent carb.

Overall quite nice, good east coast style i havent had in a while, nice hops malty sweet balance long bitter finish. Tasty, drinkable, and a good change to have a well done IPA like this in the time of citrus and tropical fruit bombs.
