Has a great amber look but tast does not follow thru. Not bad, but simply a plain tasting amber. This bordered more on commercial quality than craft for me.

On draught at a restaurant in Hillsborough, NC. Served in a pint glass. It pours a cloudy, orange-ruby color with almost a head of foamy, ecru-colored head and lacing. The nose is modest and mostly sweet caramel malt with just a hint of citrus. The taste is primarily malty with caramel and earthy, nutty notes, along with some tart citrus. It's nicely balanced. There is just a hint of hoppy bitterness and spice. The mouth feel is moderate with pleasant carbonation and it's very easily drinkable at 5.4% ABV. Overall, Copperline may not win awards but it's solid and enjoyable. I was surprised by many of the low ratings. It was a good pairing with fried catfish.

Drinking this at The Carolina Brewery in Pittsboro NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Smells lightly bready, spicy, malty.
Taste follows the nose nicely.
Mouth feel is medium for the style with a nice creamy finish.
Overall, a very nice amber ale that I would definitely order again.
Cheers!

Very unique taste. Was pleasantly surprised and found the taste to be very enjoyable. The unique smell gave me concern at first but the taste was incredible. Will drink again.

Amber color, lot of rising bubbles. Thin white head. Slight hop aroma, otherwise nothing discernible. Flavor generally suits an amber ale, with the exception of the hops being slightly more prominent than I’d expect for the style. Thick and foamy mouthfeel. Uncomplex, but rather enjoyable.

With an amber color, it is very, very mild. If there is any taste in this beer, is more bitter than there are malts. I highly recommend the Alley Cat from Lost Coast Brewing for a better alternative. Better yet, the Nut Brown Ale from this brewery is very good alternative!
