Pours amber reddish brown, tiny head

Smoke and a touch of orange and lime on the nose

Smokey spicey flavour , light body, prickly carbonation, low bitterness which is good as I don't think more would suit

Good for smoked malt beer

Don't know why it is in sahti category, rauchbier surely

Dark ruby with a very very thin beige head. Smells like wood smoke, bacon, smoked sausages. The taste is dominated by the same notes, made a bit more mild by the rye bread and roasted walnuts notes.

Slightly hazy dark red color with tan head. Aroma is really smokey with the rauchbier type of smoked malts, savory, resembling smoked meat. Taste starts somehow astringent, smokey, then you get some spicy rye malt and finishes quite bitter and earthy. Medium body with smooth mouthfeel. A very interesting style of beer. The combination of rauch-malts and spicy rye works quite well.

Guy at the bar said this is actually a Sahti. Looked it up, and so it seems.
Had on tap, quick notes:

Dark amber, low head.
Big roast in the smell and smoke, nothing much.
Big roasted malts, very dark chocolate. Oak, burnt wood, charcoal, hay. Very faint caramel. Low dark fruit, with a certain mustiness, that might be produced by the juniper (there's a gin-like feel to it, actually). Smoke gets even stronger towards the finish, which is rough and bitter. Grassy notes here too.
Dry and rugged, medium body, wouldn't drink more than one at once.
First time trying out a Sahti, expected a rauch, but wasn't disappointed.

big bbq smoke nose slightly greasy

full on full strength marlboro taste
it rocks

good MF and perfect carbonation

don't know why this isn't listed as a rauchbier as it is full on smoky
good, great even but really smoky

Deep golden orange in the glass. A little cloudy. Medium/small head. Predominant smell is smoke. Bottle says: Oak, Smoke, Rye & Juniper. Oak and smoke appear first on the palate. Spicy late finish might be the juniper they're talking about. Subsequent sips reveal sweet carmel malt in the middle, making it more approachable and drinkable than the first taste might suggest -- gives the beer a rounder mouthfeel for a medium-alcohol beer like this. The "juniper" spice becomes more prevalent in subsequent sips. Very interesting and complex. Well made and worth buying more.
