This was poured into a pilsener glass. The appearance was a clean copper color with a two finger white foamy head that dissipated at a mild pace. Light messy lace. The aroma had some floral hops, sweet to bitter with some peach and light honey and a decent malt base. The flavor leaned towards the sweet side initially and then developed a little bit of floral to slightly piney hop bitterness. Soft clean bitter hoppiness in the aftertaste rolling into the finish. The feel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and the ABV felt fine. Overall, pretty good India pale lager that I could have again.

12 oz. Can 6 pack from the brewery

Hazy gold/amber color, fill of life with a substantial white foam cover to prove it. Recedes slow with nice lace.

The aroma is really very remarkable, a dense hoppy nose, with big pineapple, dry leaves, herbal mix, and a nice array of fruity tones. A sweet bready malt and sour/tangy yeast from the lager side of the aroma.

A seriously clean and crisp bite makes the mouthfeel stand out. Light to medium body with a very excellent dry finish.

The taste is easily the best balanced IPL i've had. A very classic lager flavor shines through, crisp and bready, sour tones from it's yeast with a very "pilsner" taste in the finish. The most lager -forward flavor for this style. The hops are also very impressive, big, dry and herbal tones, once again, dry leaves....very earthy with sour/bitter notes and tangy fruit tones in a very deep way. Excellent complexity and seriously crushability makes this an excellent brew.

Portland Maine is seriously spoiled when it comes to the bar/craft brew scene. My good friend highly recommended Bunker.

Had on tap. Pours clear, tan in color with 1/3 inch head. Taste is caramel, toasted malt, piney hops and a touch of orange. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and slightly bitter. Makes for a slightly above average pale lager. Not a bad beer, just nothing I would rush out for.

Pours a dark burnt orange, almost brown in color with a thin off white head that disappears almost a immediately. Aroma is citrus and pine with a whiff of lemony alcohol at the end. Taste has citrus and pine again but adds a bit of mango and some lager character than I can only quantify as corn-like. Mouthfeel seems a touch thin but is probably somewhere in the light-medium range with low-moderate carbonation. Overall this was solid and drinks pretty well.

Plentiful webby lace from a standard bar poured head. The liquid is golden with a mild chill haze.

Fresh hop cone aroma with the distinct smell of spent grains. Except for the lack of yeast smells, this could be a homebrew.

Brief, toasted barley start. The hop bitterness is very strong, leaving a long biting aftertaste. Solid body. Ample carbonation. Crisp like a lager should be but with the flavor of a very bitter pale ale.

From pour on tap. Pours clear with thin head. Smell is weak but possibly a grassy lemon smell. Taste is hop forward with a medium malt backbone. Moutfeel is smooth not sticky. Overall a pleasant beer.

Poured from a 12 oz can.

Pours a hazy deep golden color with 2 fingers of pure-white head. The head is gone rather quickly, leaving a fair amount of lacing as it dissipates.

The aroma is very hop-forward, with notes of citrus and pine upfront, with some spicy hops not far behind. The back end is dank and earthy, with a subtle hint of sweet malt. Not bad, but entirely underwhelming.

The taste is the same as the nose, but reversed. Starts out with some mild caramel and sweet bready malts. Then comes a wave of spicy hops and lemon rind. The finish is surprisingly bitter, and extremely dank. I've never had edible weed before, but I assume this is not far off. Again, not bad, but not really a good flavor to leave lingering on the tongue.

The feel is medium bodied with good carbonation. Sticky as hell and incredibly dry, and the bitterness lingers a bit too long.

Overall, not a fan of this one. I think this brewery knocked the "hoppy lager" style out of the park with Salad Daze, but this one is just too bitter and the feel is pretty bad for this kind of beer.

I got this beer in a beer trade. It is an American Pale Lager, but it is certainly not bland. I loved it.

Look: Amber with a thick bubbly white head.

Aroma: Some caramel and some citrus and fruits

Taste: It's hoppy, with a taste of citrus, mango, pine, and its dank, a very good Lager.

Feel: medium bodied, medium carbonation.

12 Oz can poured into snifter

A: murky caramel dark amber. Almost no head as it pours and it laces the glass a little though.

S: perfumes and tropical fruit. Passion fruit floral and Earthy.

T: lots of passion fruit and grain slightly perfumes like over the top red raspberries.

M: Nice creamy heavier bodied beer

O: not a bad beer but it doesn't stand out either. I like a happy lager and this one is OK but I don't care for the perfumes taste of the hops.

Orange, golden amber in color. Somewhat hazy. Looks malty. Citrus zest, orange rind and grapefruit pith. Super dry. Toasted, caramel malt. It's ok.

Draught @ brewery: This one pours a fairly clear, orangish golden color. There was a wisp of a white head that left some lacing. Nice nose. Musty, earthy, some pine and spiciness. Taste is very good. Earthy, musty, spicy and pine flavors.

32oz growler from Bunker Brewing in Portland Maine
Slightly opaque straw orange with creamy white head, smell is sweet, peppery, earthy, and herbal, straight up weed buds, taste is dank weed, sweet hop candy, finishes with a mild pine bitterness, feel is creamy, chewy, and brightly carbonated. A delicious velvety cup of liquid dank weed. Yum!

Had this beer on tap not that long ago. The beer poured with a very nice head on it. The nose was extremely hop forward with a ton of piney hops. Mouthfeel was very thick and almost syrupy but not in a negative way. The taste was a reflection of what the nose detected. Straight pine taste took over your mouth. Super earthy and herbal. If you enjoy those pine flavored hops this is a beer for you!

Overall the execution is great! However the case can be made that they labeled it out of style and it could be considered an IPL.

Orange tap pour with a fine , quickly dissipating head and a sweet aroma. The taste is hop-forward and very crisp. This is a very easy-to drink pale. I'll seek it out.

Can picked up a couple weeks ago, an interesting brewery to say the least.

Pours a nice rich creamy 1 finger head that fades semi slowly, decent foamy lacing, murky dark auburn orange color.

Nose big spicy piney hops, herbal and earthy as well, candied orange peel and candied pine tips, some sweet candy malts, little sap.

Taste brings candy malts out front, reddish toasted malts, a little caramel, thicker than expected and a bit syrupy, into hops, bitter spicy hops with some pine sap, a bit earthy forest floor notes, herbal even. some fruity esters in the background like a banana caramel flavor, generic fruity , pretty bitter. Finish is still sticky but a bit drier, syrupy malts and spicy piney earthy hops lingering.

Mouth is med to fuller bod, a bit syrupy, nice carb at least.

Overall a pretty meh beer, no real lager character, hops are aggressive and mediocre as well, malts are syrupy and bleh, not very enjoyable.

12 ounce can poured into a snifter at Milk and Hops on Broadway in NYC.

Pours almost brown, but with a lightness that suggests a malty IPA. Really hard to make what kind of beer this is based on the appearance. 4

Jaysus though. Really juicy on the nose. Lager? For real? Sticky mango and pineapple. Pungent and candy-like. Nose is awesome. 4.5

Flavor threw me for a loop. Still got the juicy mango and pineapple, but it's also very bready, sweet and caramel-like. The finish hits with a complete lager-like flavor, grassy and earthy hops and a toast-like finish. 4

Nice balance of light and easy-drinking and full-bodied, sweet and rich. Refreshing and juicy and all the while bready. Quite refreshing overall but with a nice toasty finish. 4.25

This is excellent.

Thanks to JLindros for hooking me up with a can.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice lightly hazy orange copper hue with a thin one finger off white head that fades to leave a thin blanket.

S - Aromas of lightly herbal almost tea like hops, some citrus, oranges, light caramel malts, little bit of alcohol, little bit of sticky sweetness.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. More of the herbal tea qualities, softer citrus peel/zest, very light pine. Decent amount of malt sweetness, especially towards the finish before lending way to some light hop bitterness.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, bit on the thinner side.

O - Overall if someone had given me this can randomly I would have simply assumed it was old, however, I know this was purchased less than two weeks ago which means the heavier malt profile is what they were going for. For me, not a fan.

On draft at the great lost bear. Is a cloudy very light amber with a nice whit head

The nose is pungent with hops, experimental almost a summit heritage, stinky and juicy, armarilo is evident. I could see it being offerendive but I love it very nice.

The taste begins with fruity hops and ends with a healthy bitterness. The hops are the stars bUT the, I'm assuming pilsner malt shines adding a crispness and a simple, not in a bad way, maltiness. The hops longer on the to get while the beer is dry. This is great at 6.5%the abundance of flavor makes you think this could he a 8%ipa but I'm glad to see its not

Job well done!

Went to the brewery in Portland, ME. Got a flight of the 3 beers they had on tap. This one stuck out, as it smelled and tasted like it was dry hopped with onions. Not good onions either, more like Funyuns. Funyuns are great once in a while, but as the dominant flavor in a beer? Yikes. Might have been a bad batch or dirty line, but I've never experienced a beer this offensive before.
