On side pull at The Blackback Pub in Waterbury, VT.
This one pours a golden brown color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like lightly sweet breadiness, honey, caramel, and a sort of herbal aroma.
This comes off super creamy from the Lukr tap. There's a mild sweetness, mostly just bready and nutty malt goodness here, with just a hint of herbal hop bitterness. I know Czech faucets are generally best for actual Czech styles, but this dunkel works quite well at this wonderful bar.
This is creamy, smooth, and super drinkable.
Dunkel will always remain a style near and dear to my heart (and palate) and this is undeniably a nice example.

Pours a beauty into the glass. Deep chestnut brown. very clear. topped with a plenty 2 finder head of fluffy beige foam.
smell is nutty and a little roast, caramel
Taste follows nose including the roasted grains, a little burnt even or better smoke, nuts and caramel are there too, there is a bitterness as well with a noble hops flavour attached to it.
Very drinkable, carbonation is very well integrated and on the lower side.
Interesting how complex a Dunkel can get. With its smoke flavors it is not for everyone, but I like it and it is a long way from being a Rauchbier.

From 07/13/15 notes. On tap at Zum Schneider in NYC. 0.5L in a stein.
Pours a mahogany brown color with 3 fingers plus of fluffy light tan head and moderate carbonation evident. Roasted notes, toasted malts, nuts, earthy, light fruits, yeast, and spice. Medium body and low carbonation, easy to drink.
Overall a decent dunkel; not the most flavorful beer but easy to drink and you could have a few of them. Good for the setting.
